Great 4K transfer. Sound is great even though it is mono. Your center channel should recreate the sound perfectly. If your have a high nit TV, the black and white scenes really pop with modern tvs.

Excellent Transfer by Criterion that beautifully preserves the details of characters and environments along with a nice layer of film grain that adds character to the picture. No HDR however with a B&W image like this it’s mostly unnecessary. The audio mix is also the best it’s ever heard with the option to switch to the original Mono which is is the best one. Overall packed with great extras and BTS along with an awesome poster inside.

Of the many versions of NOTLD availble this is by far the best if you have a 4k UHD player (obviously). Picture quality is the best its ever been as well as the sound. Its full of bonus features as one would expect from the Criterion Edition. Just price check because this, as most discs, go on sale frequently & Best Buy does price match.

The one that started it all. George A. Romero’s low budget classic has never looked better, and it’s a real treat to see the Criterion Collection give this film a great treatment. The features alone are worth the price, but the restoration is outstanding.

This is hands down the best version of this movie that has been released. I watched the Criterion blu-ray of this film last year and it was great but the 4K is even better.

It wasn't easy upgrading a disc I purchased two years ago, but within minbutes of popping in the new 4K UHD, I forgot all about Criterion's last release.
