We made it to Fiji with our waterproof camera and at our first attempt to use it in the water it took on water and never snapped a single under water picture. Totally disappointed. Would not recommend and would've given zero stars if I could've.

The camera worked great for the first summer but has a design flaw with the access door to the battery. After a few charges the door no longer closes making the camera not waterproof any more and useless.

After owning for 3 weeks, took on vaca and after a few days developed a gray spot on the screen and could not use the rest of my vaca. Best buy will only return after two weeks so I have to go through Nikon which I am assuming will be somewhat of a hassle. I feel the camera is also not terrible user friendly and there are way too many settings for a "point and shoot."

Got it for a birthday present a couple months after being purchased and couldn't return. Being stuck with it the past year has been difficult taking pictures. We have it set for best quality and most pictures are blurry even on sports mode. The whole camera has to charge not just the battery! After a year now its already having "system error" People at Best Buy said this was supposed to be the best uh no

Good point and shoot, but can be annoying to use. Mostly does what it's supposed to do. I've had the camera for 3 months at the time of writing this review. The main reasons for buying are: GPS, Waterproof and Wifi Pros: Decent pictures for point and shoot. I prefer the convenience of a compact. My other compact is a Sony RX100, which is superb. The automatic settings on the Nikon is not as good, and I have never tried to alter the settings. Having said that, the automatic setting is good if you are after memories and not art. City night shots are fine, misty overcast and raining days are as you would expect from a compact. So far it is water proof. I've used it a couple of times for taking pictures of the kids in pools and at the beach. It is important to read the instructions about cleaning before opening it up. It's probably reasonable enough that if you get sand in the seals, it will cease to be waterproof. GPS seems to work. Cons: Buttons not always easy to operate. A bit slow, I've missed a few shots because I thought I pressed the button, but no picture was taken. I'm not sure if it's buggy, or me, or that this is the nature of "shockproof" cameras. Not true Wifi (as far as I can tell). I have to download the Nikon App for my iPhone. This is exactly what I'm after - so I can get the photo's onto my phone when I'm on holidays. It's easy enough to connect camera to iPhone, but you have to individually select each photo to download. This is slightly annoying if you have many. Hence I don't bother anymore. Hopefully Nikon will update the app that will allow a "Select all" function. There seems to be an attempt at this - but the button only appears after I select one or a few photos. Once I press the "All" button - all photos are deselected! It would be nice to be able to save your photos from the camera while on holidays - to protect against loss. At the moment it's too impractical. Overall it's OK but can be much better, but I'm not sure if there is much that's better at the moment. Perhaps wait 12 month?

The camera will not turn on after being submerged in less than a foot of lake water on June 4th, 2016. Condensation started covering the screen. The camera was purchased on August 16th, 2015 from Best Buy in Garner, NC. The camera was submerged in pool water on August 19th, 2015. It worked well then and continued to do well until June 5th, 2016 after it was submerged again on June 4th, 2016. And, yes, this camera (the AW130) is supposed to be an UNDERWATER one, right??? Very disappointing!!!

Not happy w/ picture quality or performance- i researched prior to purchasing, only to be let down with the photo quality- taking pictures in sunlight, the picture is difficult to identify while taking the actual picture. The zoom quality was disappointing, (or cropping to make a bigger image) the image seems grainy. I haven't dropped it or put it in water - I took it twice to the mountains on sunny days, only to be disappointed with the quality, it now sits in a box. Hopeful but doubtful I will use it anytime soon.

it is not user friendly for a senior. you have to program it and it has things that are not needed like wifi and gps. there is a lot of glare on the screen so one is shooting blind. what ever happened to "point and shoot". I went in to Best Buy wanting to buy a battery for my old Olympus and was sold this. when I looked at it in the parking lot I tried to return it. The salesman "programed" it for me. It still was too much for me. When I took it back after using it, I had to threaten to sue before I got my money back.
