I bought this camera for my daughter who needed a high pixel count, lots of optical zoom, and logical easy operation. This camera fills the bill. Nikon is keeping their name and reputation up with this model. My daughter lives out of state and uses it for some semi-professional photo shoots along with setting up websites for folks. After she had played with it for a couple of days, I got this text message from her: "This camera rocks!!!". I think that says it all.

I love the picture quality. The sports mode is amazing for my son's football games!

I received this camera as a Xmas present. We opened gifts late due to one of our family members being in the Military. Once i found out that it had no purchased warranty I contacted the store. They refused to allow me to purchase one due being 1 day over their policy. I was very frustrated and just wanted to return it. Whats the point of having a good produce without warranty. But according to another policy I could not return the item either. So again Great camera. Just check into warranty info as soon as possible.

I have always loved the nikon cameras. I started with a Nikon FG-20, but needed something you can hand to someone to take a photo of you as well. The little smart cameras fit in your purse, but I broke a few, because they were flimsy. This one has GREAT quality photos and video...the video I took got me the part! Just don't use "smart photo" as everything is blurry. Go for the automatic. And the "selfie" feature works best with a 5 second timer.
