I have been searching for a new camera for a few years now when one of my friends recommended this one to me. I was a bit skeptical at first since different sites had mixed reviews but I buckled down and bought it. When it arrived I wasted no time in using it. The photo quality is amazing! I love the crisp shots the zoom takes and how vibrant the colors look. Lighting is much of an issue since I enjoy the auto setting. It takes decent night shots (even got some beautiful pictures of the moon). Overall Its a great camera and I'd recommend it.

I had a DSLR camera for years and never learned how to use it to it's full potential. Although I was getting better at it over the years, the camera died. I replaced it with this one and it's okay. Nothing special, it is easy to use and modes are easy to understand. The software is pretty good, I am not a fan of all the 3rd party software but this bundle is pretty good for picture management. The wireless features are great. So overal it's a good camera.

I bought this camera to take on my European vacation. Great for a point and shoot camera. Very easy to use. It has an incredible zoom! Compared to pictures I took with my iPhone 6 some of the pictures are a little dark, but I may not have been using the right setting. Zoom, zoom, zoom!!! The zoom is amazing! I was able to capture incredible detail from what seemed like miles away. I love that this camera came in purple!

Good camera for everyday use, the app works great for transferring files between phone and camera. Didn't come with a lens cover and u have to invest in rechargeable AA batteries, but u have to do that with any camera.

As Much Camera as I Think I Need

I was looking for a replacement for my functional (but weary) Canon Powershot 560 point and shoot camera. I hadn't looked at cameras in quite a while so after looking at some online articles I went to my local Best Buy store so I could get some hand's on time. The new point and shoot cameras that would be the direct replacement for my Canon have gotten very compact and I was not comfortable holding them. I decided I wanted to try a "superzoom point and shoot" and had to choose between the Canon SX 530 and the Nikon B500. I had actually selected the Canon to take home but found that the particular camera I was given did not come with a battery and the extra battery I purchased was the wrong size. The store did not have any more of the Canon SX 530 so I took home the Nikon as a replacement. The Nikon is around 4 oz heavier and has a little less zoom power (40X vs 50X) than the Canon, but the Nikon uses AA batteries, not a dedicated battery pack. This means that I don't have to carry a dedicated recharger and AA batteries can be had just about anywhere. The B500 seems to have all of the automation I need plus a good quality zoom lens. I've just started tinkering with it but it seems like it was a good choice for me overall.

Love that it connects to my phone and sends the pictures directly to it for uploading. My phone can also act as a shutter button when both devices are connected and Wi-Fi is present. This is an awesome function to use with a tripod. Pictures are clear and colorful, you can see a distinct difference in quality between these pictures and something taken with a phone. Love the camera for capturing life's regular moments. 4 and not 5 stars because it drains battery QUICKLY (AA) and sometimes connecting between devices is difficult.

Lots of settings, but easy to use. You have to buy a memory card with it. Good quality. Spent too much time figuring out how to setup the WiFi setting so i gave up on that...

Wanted a camera for trvel to Europe. The B500.met my requirements. Great image quality. Good in low light situations. Good telephoto lens. The only downside is no view finder. Use of standard AA batteries a plus. Use Lithium photo batteries for longer life. The Alkaline batteries included lasted for 200 photos. Replaced with Lithium took another 800+ photos and they still have plenty of power. Overall decent starter camera.

I am excited about my new camera. I just got back from a trip to Europe where I tried it out and am very satisfied with the quality of the pictures. The two drawbacks I see with this camera are one, it uses 4 AA batteries instead of being rechargeable; two, the camera is bulkier than I realized (I ordered in online and I am used to the flat point and shoot models). However, it is now a part of my life and I will use it often!
