A step up from a basic digital camera, has great zooming capabilities and takes excellent pictures.

Love this camera. Bought it as a gift for my daughter and her husband. It takes clear, bright pictures. They love all the different effects that can be used for enhancing their photos. seems to do what I want thus far. I was looking for a lighter version of my Canon XT for hikes and walks. So far it does great.
