I like the camera. I was promised a credit in writing. Over a month has gone by and only lies in each of the many calls to Best buy. Have a dispute in now with credit card company. Will never shop at your dishonest company again. A past repeat customer.

Need tripod attachment on the zoom lens chassis not on camera body due to tipping over once the lens is extended, in addition need improvement on low lighting. But other than that, it's an excellent camera.

The camera was purchased to use during a safari. It was a great camera to capture animals close up and far away. I was thankful to not have to change lenses often or even have to bring them. It is a "heavier" point and shoot, but it was great for the trip!

The Nikon Coolpix digital camera is ideal for anyone. It works great for the beginner and yet very high quality for the expertise user. I love how it connects with my smartphone, so that I can still text pics taken with the camera.

I bought this camera specifically to take on a safari. It first I was quite happy with it because it has a really good telephoto and I gott quite a few good pictures. But then, about 10 days into the trip, it suddenly stopped working. The telephoto won’t work, the screens are all messed up, and, I could no longer use the camera. I tried calling Nikon support, and they were of no value. In fact, they told me I would have to package the camera and send it back to them at my expense for them to look at it and “possibly” fix it under warranty. Remember, this camera was 10 days old. It had not been dropped, submerged in water, or had any thing else done to it to make it not work. So as much is the telephoto is a good lens, I would not buy this camera again. I certainly wouldn’t leave yourself with no other camera option. Buy the Canon instead

Great camera and beautiful pictures Unfortunately, I have a problem in my right hand and the weight of the Camera was causing an issue for me. So I had to return it for the Nikon Coolpix p950

Let me start on a positive note. The zoom is Amazing on this camera, and the Snap Bridge App for my phone worked flawlessly. As for the rest of this camera I am not impressed. The pics were just OK at best. I had the camera for a couple weeks and I tried to get used to this monster piece of equipment. The unit itself is almost 5lbs. Yes I know I’m weak. However try sitting with your lens zoomed out at a sports game taking some photos of you’re child. NO good. I also noticed on a far zoom anything over the 1/2 way point I got a lot of haze in my pics almost like a smoke screen. I changed some settings and used automatic mode and still had nill results. The moon pics I was able to take with this camera were really cool photos, maybe because it was dark out and I used the automatic moon mode. But those photos also should be done with a tripod since the weight of the unit makes the camera a lil shaky in my hands. This is definatly a camera that needs one hand holding the camera ready too press the shutter button, and the other hand held firmly on the lense base to get a photo. I also tried 2-3 different tripods and when fully zoomed the front end weight of this camera kept moving the tripod top piece slightly down. Causing me to possibly over tighten the tripod nut. This leads me into the next part of this camera. The screw down hole on the base of this camera does not appear much different then that of its predecessor the P900 which had a lot of issues. Even though it appears the manufacturer reposition the screw hole on this camera the plastic base/frame on this camera looks like it could be a recipe for disaster. My end result is the camera was returned, it was too big and heavy at zoom to justify carrying it around on a daly basis to snap and transfer Pics to my phone. I would say this is more of a specialty camera for far zoom shots but the quality is Not really there on the photos so for me it was not good for everyday use. If I had more funds too play with, I Would consider buying it for a novelty, start gazing and distant animal shots not expecting super clarity on the photos. So some advice is maybe wait till the stores have this camera on display before you buy it, then just hold it and see how big and obtrusive it is. Almost funny looking and it’s HEAVY.

you can certainly zoom into anything and fill the lens. The image quality rates a -`1 though. The RAW (NRW) image is MUCH worse then the JPG of the exact same thing (shot as RAW+Fine) even at low zoom levels like 50 - 80mm, low ISO of 100 and a fast (1/400 shutter speed, the noise was excessive, and the photo (in my opinion) was completely unusable even for social media. My Samsung camera phone does a better job. returning this and buying a longer lens for my Canon 90D
