This is a great Point and shoot camera for the novice or as a nice prosumer back up or travel camera. It packs some powerful features like timelapse and long exposure into a small package with a large zoom. Although the image stabilization is great, a steady hand it required to keep your composition intact with any digital zoom engaged as the stabilization tends to float around a bit with a moving subject at high zoom.

This is a great point and shoot camera. The images are Sharp and when zooming in on the image text, it remained Sharp! Love it.

Everyone ask me after seeing my pictures "what kind of camera do you have"!! So glad they fixed where you now can lock the flash if you do not want to use it. Great deal also!!!

Quick response to shutter button , easy to work with , image stabilization is very poor if you dont hold very still pictures can come out blurry other than that good camera

I had to S9600 and was very happy with all there settings that were available. The S9900 is the upgrade and I will say I am missing all of the settings .

I bought this Coolpix mainly for the GPS capability. I take real estate photos that require GPS positioning. The zoom capability is awesome. I am able to capture shots that would require a zoom lens with my other DSLR. Nice solid feel, the flash has good coverage in dim lighting. The many features require some instruction manual reading to grasp.

Great All Around Camera EXCEPT BATTTERY LIFE. MAYB Lasts 2Hours.

This is a very good camera for travel with an incredible optical zoom. Low light is pretty good but a steady had is still necessary to get sharp photos. At long zooms, it is important to be very steady as a small movement of the wrist will translate to large motion of the objective. Overall for size, price, and capabilities, this is a great camera.

Camera looks great. shows remarkable improvement based on my old S9100 (one of the best camera I had owned) S9900 has wifi but still I can't make my wifi works..the flip screen is good. Optical zoom 30X wow..picture still don't show sharpness..maybe I'm still trying out..overall i like this camera..the price is reasonable for a great camera
