Bought this camera to replace my 2 year old Sony camera. It was a 10x zoom and we loved it. Unfortunately it was in my swim trunks and got wet. I have an underwater Olympus camera and thought the Sony was that one. This new Nikon is so improved with features in every way. We really like the GPS. the viewing panel that adjusts in all directions, 30X optical, Great item. Would have liked a better screen representation of the different scenes. IE example of the scene, not just text info. But in the big scheme of it all that is minor.

Good camera for good quality pictures. Small size. Big features. Have to remember the pop up flash before you miss that shot.

Excellent camera and it's priced well. Great features for this range of cameras,...and of course it has great lenses, it's a Nikon

I travel a lot for my job and appreciate a decent compact camera with a decent zoom capability. I brought the Nikon S9900 to replace my broken Sony Cyber-Shot of which I had the original intention of replacing with another but newer version of my previous Sony Cyber-shot. I decided on the Nikon over the Sony due to the fact that the Nikon offered more bang for the buck in terms of options and capability when it came to shooting and settings. Upon my purchase and use of the camera on my travels, I have found this camera to be exceptional and has met my needs and requirement that I was looking for a in a compact camera. Overall I recommend it for anyone looking for a great compact camera with a great zoom capability especially when comparing to a Sony Cyber-shot.

You would think that when you buy something at Best Buy they would support it for a decent period of time but no...when I went back to use my rewards money to buy an extra battery I was informed that they no longer carry that battery in the store or on line. This store has just done a major remodel and the new shelving had a space for this battery. I'm thinking now that I wish I'd bought a better camera but they only give you 15 days to return it...and I was out of town for 2 1/2 weeks after I purchased it so no luck with that, either. The camera is OK but now I think I could have done better for the price.

Third Nikon we've owned. As usual, the buttons are easy to see and uncomplicated.

Had to upgrade my camera. Glad I stopped by my Best Buy. Looked it over, easy to hold, quick response (recommended faster sd card). Still can use standard settings I use for portraits. Great price plus accessory bundle.

I bought my s9900 for a great price plus the size . It is easy to pack in my gear for great pictures on my hunting and fishing trips. It goes on all of my trips.

My old neck can't always carry my beloved NIKON D90 and I needed a GOOD, small, quick and "able" purse companion! I had an Olympus in mind, but when I compared both "in hand" this S9900 won and I have been very pleased. Have not yet done any "serious" photography... only quick "shots"... Ask me in another 6 months.

crystal clear picture, the flash is bright but doesn't wash out, and the selfie screen comes in handy big time. great buy!

great size for my wife. Excellent quality with low light capabilities. Feels good in my hand. Brilliant picture quality. a great camera for the sale price.

I have a Canon 60D, but didn't want to lug it to the French Riviera. I did some research and found that the Coolpix S9900 was an excellent replacement choice. It did a great job for me. I would have given it a 5 rating, but the wifi button was always in the way and I couldn't stop it from doing its searching, after mistakenly touching it, when I was trying to take a picture...had to turn the camera off and back on.

This camera is just right for travel. It has plenty of optical zoom without having to lug around a larger lens and slr camera. Got some great shots of the Alaskan glaciers even in low light conditions

I had the previous model which completely died just after the year warranty expired. Got this one because the battery and other accessories would still work. I like this model except for the flash.

I bought it right before a party & did not read any instructions. So easy to handle for a novice or experienced photographer. The sales person was the one who recommended and was right about it

Takes great pictures. The Menu is not my favorite. The Zoom is outstanding. If you want a small camera with a SLR feel buy this Camera.

I upgraded from my old camera to this one the quality of the pictures is Hi Def

Takes great pictures for a point & shoot but too heavy. Also, didn't come with neck strap which I would have preferred to a wrist strap.

Love this camera especially for vlogging. The video quality is perfect and it takes good pictures

Great present for birthday and wife is having fun with camera and is still learning the different things that she can do with it.
