My husband and I are looking to make our way into the world of DSLRs and after reading many reviews decided to go with the D3200. The camera is quick to set up and easy to use right out of the box. We have only used Auto settings to this point and they prove to get great pictures for most situations. We plan to ease our way into more and more manual settings and feel this camera will give us that room to grow before spending the big bucks for a profession dslr.

I've owned this camera for about a month now and I love it. I was deciding between this one, the D5100 & D5200. I believe the 5100 was the same as the 3200 in mpx (?) with a bit faster shutter speed, and the 5200 had a higher mpx. However, in the end, I just wasn't ready to pay the price of the 5200, & couldn't pass up the sale price on the 3200. It has done everything that I've expected and more - fantastic quality and performance. Very happy with my purchase.

Picked up this camera because I wanted to take some nice quality pics of my kids. Once I started getting into the features of the camera, I started exploring more things with it. As a new buyer that really didn't know much about DSLRs I got caught up in comparing alot of features I may not even use really. Other than struggling with Grainy pictures in low light situations, this has been an absolutely great camera (it's the only reason I don't give it 5 stars). I would definitely recommend somebody this camera for somebody looking to dive in to DSLR photography.

This is a pretty cool starter camera. This is my first DSLR camera and the pictures it allows me to take come out really nice. It is not difficult to learn how to use this camera on the run.

Needed a DSLR to take on a business trip and from the reviews this looked like a safe bet. It's smaller than aome of the others on the market but since my wife uses it too it fits her hands well. Photos taken on the automatic settings are great and the built in flash is good enough for typical indoor use. Overall it was a great purchase and I'm happy to have it with me when I travel.

I'm a relative novice to DSLR cameras. I used a D50 for my internship at a newspaper, but I pretty much left it on "Auto" all the time. I took a multimedia journalism class and got a bit more training, but I was still timid about really pushing its limits. I picked up the D3200 because I needed an upgrade for personal and professional use. I needed a camera that would take great photos and decent video. There was a slight learning curve for some of the settings, but the instruction manual was straightforward and I have been very happy with the camera so far. I went into Best Buy planning to purchase a comparable Canon because I trusted the brand and wasn't thrilled with the D50 at work, but the D3200 was $50 cheaper and had a whopping 24 megapixels. I also preferred the fixed screen as opposed to the Canon's movable screen, which I was afraid I'd break. Definitely buy this camera if you're looking for a powerful-yet-simple DSLR. An excellent beginner camera that takes beautiful photos.

From the beginning and I assume there is much more to learn, this camera performs flawlessly producing photos that make it difficult to chose which photos to delete and which to save. We are both professional videographers and cannot wait to use the video mode but are so struck by the quality of the stills that that might take awhile. Need to thank Best Buy for taking the time to show the features of this marvelous camera..

Great camera for a beginner with an dslr. It's light and easy to use. The only issue I've had so far is that if there is a glare behind what you're shooting and you're in auto mode the camera doesn't always shoot right away due to not being able to focus on the object you're shooting.

This is a great buy for the price and getting the VR lens does make a lot of sense if you are going to shoot and night and from moving objects. I got the 18-55 mm VR Nikon lens and it takes great pics both indoor and outdoor..
