The quality of the pictures are amazing!

It's not really your "point and shoot" camera. In other words you need to do your homework to be able to use this camera to its potential.

The instruction book is very easy to understand, and the camera is very intuitive to use. I am not overwhelmed at the picture quality so far, but it may improve with more use.

Overall a good camera/lens combination

The ability to use either auto or making your own adjustments to achieve the type of photo your after is great. The fact that its a digital camera allows the user to practice alot, merely hit delete if it didn't turn out. Only thing to keep in mind, if you are looking to upgrade from a CoolPix style camera, be aware you will be handling a much larger camera body, doesn't fit in your pocket very well.

Great Camera for Beginners & Advanced Users

We just returned from a trip to Hawaii and I was so impressed with the quality pictures that were taken with this camera! It captured our memories perfectly!

Also, the lenses for this camera are ridiculously priced. I will probably end up selling this camera in the near future to pick up the older D90 which is cheaper but better. The lenses that will work with the D90 are cheaper, better, and the D90 has more features.
