Had SLR's from the film era, and pocket digitals so was familiar with cameras. This one was easy to use right out of the box. Miss not having better telephoto capabilities that my pocket digital has. Will need to purchase a telephoto to replace the stock lens.

I bought this for myself asy first real digital camera. I am happy with it. I need to spend more time exploring the functions more than just the point and shoot mode. The video has been very helpful.

Using for home pictures, like the feel and handling of the camera, quick response used at gathering at house and had many great pictures taken at that time, I have not tried any manual short as yet still have it on auto but does what I want or need and still seeing all that the camera will do and getting the feel of this.

A lot of money to spend on a camera if you're just going to be using it for random personal use. Overall great product though

It is handy to have both still and video capability in the same camera. I bought it instead of updating my old camera with a matching lens and updating a video camera. The video may be a bit more difficult to physically handle than with a separate video camera but the convenience of a single camera still wins out.

I have always wanted a "good" (as in quality) camera & the price on my Nikon D3200 was a good price. It is still new to me, but I have enjoyed its many features & have taken some really good shots. I am now looking into purchasing a zoom lens, which is something I really need for my sports related shots.

We bought this camera after reading the reviews. We use it for pictures of the puppies we raise (cocker spaniels). I have a hard time getting consistent quality pictures with a dog in the same position. Some will be real sharp which is what I am looking for and some will be darker and blurry. I don't think it is the camera but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Watched all the internet suggestions and still struggling. Needs better user information for a beginner.

Overall a quality device specifically compared with prices and features of other brands. The major set back is that even as an entry level DSLR camera the features are overwhelming. The days of point and shoot are over when you upgrade to devices of this complexity.
