    Great Camera!

This is the first DSLR I have ever owned and I am in love with it. I have taken this camera to the zoo, to the Alamo, to the San Antonio Riverwalk and it takes perfect pictures. If you are looking to start with a DSLR this is definitely the one to start with. It doesn't have all of the features of the Nikon D5100 but it is a great basic camera. Truth be told you don't need all those extras, because you can get the same things the D5100 offers in Lightroom or Photoshop so I would recommend the D3200 over it anyways. I picked it up with a 55-300mm Nikkor AF VR lens and it has become the best purchase I think I could have gotten for the money.

I purchased this camera as a beginner camera for me and my wife on black friday. So far we have taken some great pics. I love how easy it is to use. More megapixels than the others, although I don't know if that matters much.

I'm a beginner to the DSLR cameras. I choose this one base on the reviews, most people said that is a great camera for beginners. This is truth ... easy to use, great pictures and lot of features. I love the wireless connection to the phone, tablet or PC. Easier to download, share and publish your photos. The price was dropped.

    Great for my first DSLR

This is my first DSLR camera but I have prior knowledge of how to use a DSLR from friends, and reading online and using a coolpix camera before. So using this nikon d3200 in manual mode is no problem for me but when im lazy and just want quick photos auto mode does fine. Pros: -great battery life / took maybe 500-600 photos and I still had 2 bars of battery left -it has good features, a guide mode for easy use, good LCD screen - kit lens pretty good but im looking to pick up a 35mm prime lens, also paying the extra $100 for the 50mm-200mm lens bundle is something i should have done -nice camera size I dont feel its huge or over bearing walking around with it Minor Cons: - Raw files are pretty big i want to say about 40mbs per photo and raw +jpeg is about 60mbs (I have a 32 GB card so im not complaining just giving details) - when in live view mode there is no accelerometer for leveling photos -video quality hasnt wowed me yet -there is a self timer that takes up to 9 photos so if you are trying to do timelapses you may need to invest in a remote overall its a good price better than the Canon T3i also some of the photos customers are posting that they have taken with this camera are pretty bad lol...

I have been stuck in the stone age of cameras with my 35mm that I just could not give up because of the great pictures that it took. Well not anymore. I cannot believe I waited so long . Everything about this camera is great for me. People are surprised that it is a 24 megapixel for the price I paid for it. All I can say is that my walls will be covered with pics now that I have this camera. It is always at a arms reach.

I Bought the D3200 today and put it through the test. It was a dreary overcast day and low interior lighting. The camera does well and I like the menu system. I've been shooting a Nikon D200 for many years and wanted to buy a Nikon dslr that shot hd video. So far I haven't been blown away by the pictures (24mp) but I am still learning the camera and haven't had very good lighting. I'm using a 12-24mm and a 60mm macro… haven't tried the kit lens yet, might just put that one in the garbage can. The video is great if you put the camera on a tripod and fine focus each shot. Walking around and shooting the D3200 like a traditional video camera (with auto focus and image stabilization) will not produce satisfactory video. Good lighting is also very important. If you are a beginner learn about shutter speed, aperture, iso, etc. and you should do well.

    Best Gift Ever

Great gift to my fiance. She loved how it took photos and was able to make adjustments with ease. She liked how it was smaller than some of the other models and fit in her palm better. We also got a telephoto lens and some filters. She continues to rave about how easy the camera is to use and how it still gives her room to grow as she improves with her photography.

This is my second Nikon, and it is a fairly significant upgrade from my first one I bought (about 6 years ago). This camera packs a lot of features, and lives up to the hype. For beginners, there's a guide mode which is really useful for learning how to use all of the various settings on this camera. For folks who are more experienced, there is no shortage of performance. I would like to have seen more range on the ISO, but I can make adjustments in the aperature and shutter speed to accomodate. All in all this is a great camera!

Bought camera as a step up from a four yr old sony. Camera does not disappoint! Took on vacation to DC and took ovver 2,000 pics in 5 days. Witnessed a 21 gun salute at the Marine Memorial and even at 100 yrds away the picture clarity is soo great you can see the shell casings flying out of the guns! I would highly recommend the Damron 18-270 lens. Little costly but well worth it!

This Camera kit is a great value. Comes with a 18-55mm Lens, which is a basic lens but it's more than enough to give you a head start into photography. I would say that this is very nice entry level camera and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about starting in photography.
