Good purchase if you are new to the dslr game. Leave it in auto and have fun, or you can really explore the options and dive into photography.

Takes incredible pictures, fast and clear. This was my first DSLR camera and i couldn't have made a better choice. No problems whatsoever. Also came with a free Nikon Bag which was what sold me. Couldn't be happier!!

This was a gift for a young adult who wants to start learning photography. I didn't feel that I should spend lots of money on something that he may or may not pursue. Good enough entry level DSLR for the price. Yes .. I could find more cameras for the same price but I chose this for him to play with based on Nikon's reputation and quality.

You can't just open the box and start snapping amazing pictures, but once you master all the features, I'm sure it'll be amazingly worth it.

I purchased this as a step up from previous point and shoot digital cameras so I would be able to capture great photos of my kids. I am not a pro, just want great pictures. This is a very nice, well made camera. We have taken it on two weekend vacations. Works awesome.

I often like to have something simple and easy for photo shoot. Surprisingly, although this camera looks like complicated and for professional photographer, I find it so easy to use for a beginner.

Great camera for scenery and people and great for holidays and special occasions

Awesome camera for beginners, also Nikon includes a DVD with instructional information about the camera and functions..... well thinked if you are a beginner.

Overall it is a good camera. sometimes it will not autofocus or allow you to manually focus when you are too close to a subject, but overall it is a great camera. It would be nice if the anti-vibration technology were in the camera instead of the lens though.

This camera is great. It's relatively easy to use, it does help if you have some knowledge of cameras. The price is reasonable.

I was able to put the charged battery in, turn it on and start using it right away. I did buy a dvd for this camera so I can get all the benefits out of it.

My husband purchased this camera for me for a Christmas gift. So far, I am in love! It takes great clear pictures inside and outside. I can't wait to start purchasing the accessories to go with it!
