This camera package is an excellent deal. I bought this for my wife, and she loves it. We are still learning all of the features, but so far everything we have tried with one exception has worked perfectly. We are still trying to figure out how to use the WIFI function with an Ipad/Iphone. The directions appear to be only for other devices. In the meantime we have transferred them the old fashioned way using the memory card in the computer and then transferring them to the "I" devices.

I was always really skeptical about purchasing a dslr camera because I felt really intimidated by them. So many different buttons, and so many different settings. I was extremely satisfied once I finally took the leap to purchase the Nikon D3300. For being a dslr camera it is pretty lightweight, and fits in the hand very well. After I read a few articles and watched a few videos to help myself understand the exposure triangle I no longer have that feeling of overwhelming uncertainty. I would highly suggest the Nikon D3300 for any person who is planning to purchase their first dslr camera! 10/10 would buy again.

Purchased this for my daughter. She was using it within minutes. Now a professional photographer in our family is showing her some basics and some advanced features so even though this is a great beginners camera it has some pretty advanced features and is a great value in this price range. Also, this is a great brand!

The D3300 is a great DSLR to begin learning with! The buttons are easy to comprehend what each is for and the LCD is a good size. Also, the camera body is very light and compact, great for traveling!

Compared to its competitors, it was pretty easy to use. The best part was the battery life which is pretty good as well.

I am very impressed with the pictures I have taken so far. It makes me look like a better photographer than I am. Has plenty of features for me. I am still learning how to use this camera to its full potential. I don't believe the quality can be beat for the price. If you on the fence, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

As stated, this kit is almost perfect. My main drawback with it is the zoom on the 18-55mm lens, because it seems to stick. I am an advanced level photographer with over 20 years of experience (all mediums and apsects), so I took this out of the box, kicked everything over to manual and started to experiment with techniques like zooming with a long exposure and the like. The results were mixed due to the lens 'sticking' in certain spots during the rotation. Nothing too bad, but not completely smooth either and the camera caught those few little rough spots. Btw, that type of technique seems to work better in daylight as opposed to night shots because there isn't a focused beam of light for the shutter to look at. Folks that want to buy this to take portraits, landscapes, etc really couldn't ask for a better starter kit! Pics are crystal clear with both lenses and the camera will even tell you whether your shot is going to be under/overexposed. Buy it, learn it and most importantly...have fun with it! You won't regret it! One last word of advice to amateurs...Once you grasp the concept of shooting on the shutter priority mode, try the little exercise that I have mentioned (zooming with a slow shutter speed). Get creative with it and see what you and the camera are capable of without manipulation programs like P****S**P (Sorry folks, I hate that thing!) I feel that there is no better way for someone to build self confidence than to see something unique that they created when trying a new skill! Loose yourself in your picture taking. Shoot whatever you like, allow yourself adequate time to learn, but let your eyes, hands and imagination allow you to become a "Photog".

I got this camera, and it was amazing for pictures. But after taking a few videos, I quickly returned and spent the extra money for the Canon T6i. You can hear the auto focus in video mode and its much louder than I expected from other review. Auto focus was also very slow which isnt idea for the type of pics and videos I take. If all you are planning to do is take pictures, by all means, get this. Great little camera.

Nikon - D3300 Dslr Camera with 18-55mm and 55-200mm VR II Lenses - Black This is a great camera! I did research on DSLR cameras and this one was consistently in the top ten list every where I looked. I am happy with the quality of the build and feel of the Nikon D3300. I am a beginner/intermediate in regards to photography and this camera is very user friendly. I like the fact that it has the auto function for quick picture use yet, it also has more advanced settings for more professional type pictures. This is a camera I can learn and grow with. I am starting to understand the more advanced settings to get the best use from my camera and I am excited about the quality of pictures I am getting. This is a great camera to start with if you are interested in taking quality pictures without having to pay a professional camera price.

This is a fantastic camera. the image quality is amazing, and the zoom lens makes for some really awesome shots! I'd upload some example shots, but the files are about 3 times too large for the limit, and making them within limit would just degrade the amazing quality!
