I have waited a long time to purchase a DSLR. I really did my homework before I made my purchase. I found for the overall price and features the Nikon D3300 was best for me. Still learning it but I love it.

I am very happy with this camera, but there is a lot to learn about how to use it. The photos it produces are far better than photos from my 2015 cell phone, especially for landscapes.

For those looking to make the jump from a point and shoot to something a little more, this DSLR is perfect. The 55-200 mm lens is amazing - I was able to get close up shots of my daughter during her school play. Photos turned out great - no flash and darkened theatre, too. I highly recommend for any parents that want to capture lasting memories. Very easy to use.

This was a fine camera package with just about everything you could want to take great pictures. The 24 mega pixels was the highest I saw for a mid priced digital camera. However, this is a complicated camera capable of lots of adjustments. It would take a beginner a while to get the BEST shots but still can take great pictures right out of the box.

I wanted to move from the point-and-shoot and the D3300 lets me fall back to that while I am still learning how to use all the manual settings. I look forward to becoming more confident with the manual settings. Crisp clear pictures even at a distance with low lighting! Already looking at an external flash and what my options are for additional lenses.

I needed a new camera and found this one at a great price at Best Buy. I have to say it's a Great camera. The only complaint I really have is the the body is a little small. Other than that it takes great pictures and is faster for what I use it for. Great for Beginners and Pros!
