I'd narrowed my selection down to this and the sony mirrorless - after reading lots of reviews and hands on experience in-store, I decided to go with this camera primarily because of the lens selection, AF speed, & analog zoom control. sony's electronic zoom control was too slow and felt delayed reducing reaction time that you otherwise get from the nikon lens.

I always thought that DSLRs were complex to use but not after I bought this DSLR. It is very simple to use and takes excellent pictures and videos. Its my best companion for any trip. It comes which user guide which explains things very well. I love this camera :)

Takes great pictures. I got it at a good price with 2 lenses, bag, memory card and Wi-Fi add on.

As an amerature I love this DSLR! It's simple to work and pretty self-explanatory. The only thing I can find that I wish it was better at is the low light shooting. However, maybe I just haven't figured out how to shoot in lowlight yet since I've only had it for a month or two. The case is very nice and I feel it provides optimal protection for the camera and lenses. The adjustable storage compartments are very nice as well!

This is my first dslr and it is awesome. It's easy to learn on and takes great pictures. I would recommend this camera to a beginner or anyone who is looking for a good entry level camera. I also would recommend getting the WiFi adapter so you can send pictures to your phone.
