For the price, it has most all of the settings and abilities to take great photos. Unless you need a faster fps rate, prefer FX or film, or simply prefer Sony or Canon's interfaces I would recommend this camera for anyone buying their first or a complimentary DSLR.

First time using this brand, Works great easy to use and one heck of a picture it takes.

This camera is great. Enough options to keep things interesting for more advanced photographers but simple enough for the beginners. My 60 year old mother could use it to take a group picture, but I typically use it for outdoors and action photography. I will probably upgrade to a large lens in the future since the zoom is the best with this lens. Overall, it take crisp, good looking photos in a variety of settings

I was looking for a DSLR to learn with. This camera is a great combination of ease with it's auto modes, but gives me the ability to learn the manual side as well. In less than a month I have shot close to 300 photos. They have been of people, nature and cars. I am looking forward to a lot of learning and great pictures.

This thing Rocks!! For the price you honestly can't beat it. I switched to Nikon and am happy I did. The quality is unbelievable. Me and my wife went hiking with it this last weekend and got lots of great photos. Save some money by going with this unit.

Great camera with so many different features located right on the camera. Great picture quality, never loses quality when zooming in on something. Not much different from the next model up. I didn't feel it was worth paying $300 extra for the next model up when all the specs were the same the only difference was WiFi.

I purchased this camera as a Christmas present for my mother who took a photography class. It has great functions for an entry level dslr camera that does all the things you want it to do. The size of the camera can be slightly bigger, but other than that, it functions well and does what it is suppose to do.

Photographed for years with a Pentax K1000 film camera. The switch to Nikon DSLR D3300 was a breeze. I still can't get used to not wasting film while testing the new camera. With the assistance of a very knowledgeable Best Buy salesperson I was able to get the camera and lots of accessories at a great price.

The photos taken on the camera are life like. They seem to come right off the screen. I enjoy shooting classic car shows in the area and have had rave comments on the new cameras clarity, sharpness and over all enhancement of the shots from the camera. Guess it's because that it boast 24 megapixels!
