Took me less than 30 minutes to learn the basic features. Very light weight and easy to use. The SnapBridge app works flawlessly and makes it seem less to download pictures to my iPhone for posting to Facebook or emailing to friends and family. A great value for the money!

Good starter camera

The downside of this kit is that the 70-300 lens is not image stabilized and so there's a lot of noise in extreme close-ups taken without a tripod. I would have preferred a slightly more expensive package with the VR lens, but can't really complain at this price point. Nikon has also cheaped out and not provided a printed manual in the box (it's about 250 pages) so there has been a lot of trial and error with learning the various settings. But I'm learning, slowly.

I love this camera

I like the Nikon's for their durability. I had actually drop my previous camera a couple of times and it kept on working till the motherboard went out. I wanted a camera with a view finder and a long lenses to take pictures of birds and wildlife. Because of my eyesight, I like a camera that I can use in autofocus mode. The pictures I've taken so far have been clear and not fuzzy in the auto mode. I like the grip and ease of functions on the camera. Quite happy with my purchase.
