    Out of the box, this is an excellent unit. The fit is fine for my big hand and easy for my wife's petite hand as well. Functions are right where they need to be to make operations fast. Performance is exactly what I expected. The unit is solid, well built and should last a lifetime. Great size for the trail, vehicle and sporting events.

    bought as a general use camera when the bigger camera (D750) is overkill. this is SUPER lightweight and much easier to tote around. Having to extend the lens to use it is a little weird, but eventually will become habit, I'm sure. So far quality, battery life, and durability are just what I experience in all the other Nikon DSLRs - top notch.
