We chose this camera over the 3300 because of the upgraded software and the wifi connectivity. My daughter is entering photography school and this camera was on the acceptable list.

My husband upgraded my current old Sony camer to this Nikon. I never had enough zoom or able to change over to different zoom lenses. I love it. I can't believe the focus and zoom ability. I'm still a novice but getting better with my shots. This would be a great vacationing camera or taking it to the sports games.

Looking to invest in my first camera, I did some research and decided to go with the Nikon D5300. Its movable screen has to be the selling point for me because other than that, the camera isn't much different from the D3300. If you're making movies or looking to get interesting angles in photography, this is a great choice. The camera itself is very user friendly and takes amazing shots.

This camera is great for beginners. After watching a few short videos on YouTube I was able to learn all the functions and shortcuts. I've had this camera for a few weeks and I'm already taking some cool pictures in full Manuel mode.
