This is my girst DSLR and I am still learning with the photos. I love the image quality.

This is my first DSLR camera. It is so easy to use in AUTO and takes great pictures inside and outside. I am learning how to use the advanced features, but you don't have to. I would recommend buying this one over the D3400 because the D5300 has the flip screen for the display.

I just bought this camera and this is my first DSLR camera. I am learning a lot with this camera and found it is very easy to handle. The camera has wide variety of functions and with 2 lens, you can shoot both landscape and portrait. I am happy for what I paid so far.

This is a great camera. I have a D3100 also. I love the Nikons. I'm not a professional photographer so it has been a little challenging learning. I like the pictures of this 24mp camera. I was lucky to get the Black Friday deal of $600 for this camera. A great deal!!

Bought this product two months ago and I am really happy with the quality! The pictures look awesome and this is a very easy to put together and use product! It comes with two nice set of lenses but there is also the possibility to buy extras for different purposes.

This was the first DSLR camera I have ever used. The functions are easy to navigate through and it takes high quality shots. I’m really happy with the camera, overall it was a great start to leaning about professional photography!

What can I say. It takes just as good pictures of most all of the Nikon models until you get to the full format models. A touchscreen would be nice but I understand at this price it’s not going to happen for awhile.

We really love our camera, it has been great so far. Very simple to work, reading the manual does help. It has many different types of pics under ths different circumstances. Using them properly will give the picture you want. We highly recommend it.

Very simple camera that takes amazing pictures. Very light weight and compact while giving that professional feel. Great beginner camera with the interchangeable lenses, and the combination used in the package deal.

For a non-full frame camera, this takes exceptionally good photos. It's responsive and the vibration reduction on the lenses allows very sharp photos even when in low light, and with action shots. The automatic settings work very well. Usually I shoot manual, but to try out the camera I try out all the different automatic settings (action, nighttime, etc.). They are all well calibrated and the color profile on this is great. Very true to life colors. The lenses are quiet, so, while I haven't yet recorded video, it seems that there wouldn't be a lot of noise from the auto-focus on them. The flip screen on the back allows you to flip all the way over and have it inset like a regular DSLR camera, or flip it over to protect it. It seems like it will hold up with regular/appropriate usage. Overall a really good camera!

The Nikon D5300 offers a higher resolution sensor, more AF points, and the ability to shoot 1080/60p video (as opposed to 30p). It also includes built-in Wi-Fi and GPS. The D5300 is the best for this price

I am fairly new to DSLR cameras and this is my first, an upgrade from my smartphone. I have been very pleased with the high quality it has given me. It can be hard to judge the final image in the screen on bright days, but after reviewing them later on, I am quite pleased with the results. Some of the function buttons can be a bit awkward to access, but I trust that it won't be so bad after getting used to it. Getting both the standard 18-55mm and the 70-300mm lenses in this package was fantastic! I love the versatility that it gives me. I can get great macro shots and excellent pictures of far-away objects (like the moon). Good quality camera to capture life's awe-inspiring moments.
