This is my first digital camera. I feel a little lost, but I am learning. I am looking for a photography course, because I may have purchased more camera than I am ready for, but the camera is excellent. The photographer just needs some help.

Easy for a beginner in auto mode, yet has all the features available for the enthusiastic amateur photographer to experiment with manual settings. I'm still experimenting with the various settings but am very pleased with this camera.

This camera has more than enough features for any amateur & is suitable for beginners as well as advanced/serious photographers. You will need to spend several hundred dollars more to get a camera that has more useful features.

This is a wonderful product and I got it at a great price.

We needed something above our cell phones for pictures and videos. This is a great camera to start out. I'm new to this type of camera, so I'm still learning the ins and outs. Pictures are of great quality; however, I wish videos could be in longer segments than 20 minutes (as a music teacher, I record our concerts). The included lens is great for up close subjects. We take this everywhere we go!

I really like the Nikon d5500 as my first camera. I have expirience with a DLSR camera before, but never a Nikon. It has many key features that allows me as a photographer to perform in a better way.
