I've only owned this for about a month. Bought it to take on a trip to Canada. Used mostly the auto mode on that trip for scenic shots. After returning, took it on the field for some action shot on my competition dogs. Took off of auto and very pleased with the quality of shots.

I bought this camera for work and it has been very dependable. It has held up in a variety of weather conditions as well as environments. The user's guide reads like a novel and is pretty complicated, so if you are a "point and shoot" kind of person, be prepared to do your homework.

This is really one of the most awesome entry level DSLR. However, this is just not the entry level but more than that.

I haven't used an SLR camera in over 25 years. I can safely say this camera is exceeding all my expectations. If you are new to DSLR cameras, do yourself a favor to study and review as much material as possible. A DSLR is nothing like your cellphone camera. While it will take awesome photos using the "AUTO" mode, you will be able to take awesome photos once you learn to shoot in manual mode, saving your images in RAW, and then making final projects in Photoshop or Lightroom.
