I bought this one specifically for my wife so that she could learn photography with a pretty basic DSLR camera before getting into the more advanced models. Honestly I would recommend spending a little more for the 7200 or actually saving money and buying the D 5300 which has all of the same features except for the touch screen as the 5600 does. Plus the 5300 is more user-friendly than this model. Still better than a Canon entry level as far as picture quality goes but I can't say I recommend the 5600.
