What an amazing camera, It just WON Camera of Year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi all, I am absolutely amazed with this camera and the pictures this beast takes! I wanted to upgrade to FF, coming from a Nikon D7000. The D810 was out of my price range and I didn't want a 36MP camera eating up hard drive space. The D610 seemed good but I wanted more features. Enter the D750... To me this is essentially a D810 (technology) in a smaller, lighter body, with picture sizes that are much more manageable at a competitive price range. I read tons of info before buying and the features that drew me in were low light performance, new focus system, dynamic range, high ISO performance. I bought this from my local BestBuy who ordered it for me on their website, it was delivered in 3 days. Got it home, customized a few things in the menu, and started shooting. This camera blows away my expectations. As of right now I have paired this body to a Nikon 50mm 1.8D and a Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII. Pictures are stunning. I also have some crop frame lenses for my D7000 that will work but the sensor crops down photos on this camera and you are then losing all of your full frame resolution. I think I am going after the Nikon 28-300 for an all around carry lens and the16-35 for some wide end shooting. It just does everything so well. I really have yet to see something it is doing that I don't like, which is an absolute first for me on any camera. I am keeping the D7000 as a backup camera and for long reach wildlife shots where I can get the crop frame benefit of longer effective reach. In addition if I let the wife shoot it, it does a great job in the auto modes (better IQ and getting the shot you think you want) and this makes it fun for her (novice) to pick up the camera and have confidence in the pictures she is taking. It is funny to see how less scared/intimidated she is of using a DSLR. There is no fuss, just put in P or Auto and the camera does the rest beautifully.
