    Not ideal for video.

Excellent still photos, like all Nikon, yet 4K video is cropped on an already cropped APS-C sensor which limits the width of the scene being captured.

Buy it. Excellent all around Nikon DSLR

First a background... I am a Pentaxian and will always be a Pentaxian. I love my Pentax DSLRs. I wanted to try Nikon so I purchased the D7500 at Best Buy. Overall, I think it's a great camera. I own the top of the line professional Pentax DSLR (the K-1)so I will not compare it with the mid-level Nikon D7500. But just looking and using this camera for what it is, it's pretty solid. I paired it with a Nikon 200-500mm VR lens. Yes ithe D7500 only has one SD card slot..so what. It's not a deal breaker, takes 10 secs to place a new SD card. So it has far less shots it can take with the fully charged En-EL15a battery than the Nikon D7200..solution: purchase a back-up battery. So it has only 20MP vs a Nikon D7200...who cares. End of the day, no one will notice it. Buy the Nikon D7500, you will love it.

I have been using D 7100 for 6 years and liked it. Wanted to upgrade with D 7500 but was greatly disappointed. The product may have been defective. I told a manager that I would buy a 750 camera if he would waive the restocking fee. He said he could not. No blame to Best Buy, I knew the rules when I bought.

    Long Overdue

This camera is long overdue. It has a lot of the features of the D500 at a more affordable price. It's lighter and has a little better grip than the D7200. The pictures are vibrant and sharp. The different functions are setup in a logical way. The tilting, touch screen is a real boon. Allow yourself some time and patience to learn all of what it does and it does a lot. It links up nicely to my iPad so I can instantly transfer pics to it for review on a larger screen. I'm looking forward to taking it with me on our upcoming Alaska trip. I can easily recommend this camera.

I bought this camera 4 month ago, using since then every week. I like to clicks for nature. so far clicked `10000 photos, and very happy with the camera result. Pros: 1. Compare to Nikon D5100, it is higher in megapixel - hence the colors and sharpness are excellent 2. very smooth in operating 3. Very good Shutter Speed, many time used continuous clicks and results are great 4. Build wise very good 5. very good Grip to hold the camera 6. Many new features and option Cons: 1. You cannot put a battery grip on it. 2. Sometime feels that it is having issues with auto focus, specially in low light condition Overall feel good about this camera.

    Excellent first camera for enthusiasts

Love, love, love this camera. Upgraded from a D5000 because I wanted to be able to pull some photos from the camera to my phone for quickly sharing and I wasn’t disappointed. That was back in 2019 and even now in 2022 I have used this camera for paid gigs. -very good shots per second (I was shooting cheer so the action was fast) -Battery lasts for quite a few shots (easily can shoot 1000 shots and still have more battery to go) -Weather sealed (have shot with it in light sprinkle and it was fine. Just have to make sure the lens is WR too) Cons: -right now for only $700 more you can get a Z6 which will give you more lens at your disposal (Z & F) -single card slot (it’s not a “pro” camera so not surprising) -Remeber this is a APS-C sensor so when you switch to 4K it will be “zoomed in” farther than when shooting photos.

After using NIKON D7000 for five years it is like changing to Ferrari... Can not find anything to complain about. New 180K-pixel metering sensor proves to be the real technical advance. It is better then I was expecting. Would buy it again.

Great beginner camera. The flash sits a bit low So when using lens covers like extended shades, you always get shadow in image.

I came from the d3200 and wow! Incredible shots great focus and good video. Video focus isn't the greatest but I don't use it much for video. Also marked a star down for the snapbridge app. Pretty shotty for a controlling the camera by your phone. All in all you won't be a bit disappointed in your purchase.
