This is a great camera for beginners.

Great mid-level SLR

The sensor on the D7500 is so much superior, and with the brighter display, taking pictures has become a much more fruitful and pleasant exercise. I noticed that my interest in photography did increase by leaps and bounds after purchasing this one, so while there's some truth in the saying that the best camera is what you have, a really good quality sensor does make a huge difference.
