Another Stellar Nikon DSLR

I've been a Nikon shooter since before digital. Nothing in my humble opinion compares to Nikon. This camera replaced my Nikon D7100, which is still a very capable camera, but the D7500 is several steps ahead. With fewer (but larger pixels), this camera shoots with stunning clarity. It's faster with 8 FPS continuous and the inclusion of what makes the top end D500 such a great camera, is also shared with the D7500. I love how this camera weighs fractionally less than the D7100, but has a more weather sealed body and the inclusion of an articulated screen is a nice addition. This camera sacrifices one memory card slot, but with memory so inexpensive these days, a 128 GB card will hold more photos than I could possibly take at one time. It's also a great addition that this camera is fully Bluetooth and Wifi enabled and communicates easily to Nikon apps to quickly and seamlessly transfer your pictures to your mobile device.
This is a great addition to the Nikon lineup and is perfect for someone who is looking for something that will challenge their creative abilities more than the less expensive gear, but won't break the bank like their top end gear.

Great camera, love the touch screen! I didn't think I'd like having a touch screen, but this one makes so many things so much easier. Sometimes the camera doesn't want to focus where I want it to focus, so I can just switch to live view and tap the screen where I want it to focus, then it focuses there and takes the photo. Makes things so much easier! I use this camera (along with a 2.8 f stop lens) for night sky photography as well and have been incredibly happy with the results. Because I'm short, having an articulating screen is super handy, because I can hold the camera up over my head, but still see what I'm aiming at!

This camera upgraded my d3300 and it is a huge difference. It has all the controls you need from a full frame nikon, but without the price. It is still priced in the higher side, but it is an investment that pays for itself with the photos you can take. The biggest downsize is nikons fully integrated snapbridge support which completely eliminates the ability to direct wifi connect this camera to a computer. If you are looking for that, you need to go with the d7200. Only one memory card slot, not 2 like the d7200. The camera body is noticeably heavier than the d3000 or d5000 series cameras, however weight adds features as nikon has demonstrated with this one.

The Nikon D7500 is by far the best camera I’ve ever used. It took my photography to another level instantly. I combined the body with an 18-300mm Nikor lens that provides crystal clear images both far and near. The camera is surprisingly simple to use in both automatic and manual modes. The controls are laid out well and are very intuitive. I would highly recommend this camera to all photographers, from beginner to intermediate or pro level.

Camera is fantastic. Much better then I was expecting. Very easy to use and the output is great. Having the best sensor in a aps-c camera makes a world of difference in low light shooting.

The Nikon 7500 is easy to use and is a great tool in photography. Its multipoint focus system is awesome. It’s also rugged and weather sealed so if you get caught in a cloud burst it will not be ruined.

I replaced my well loved D7100 with this camera. It does not seem as sturdy as my D7100. Plus, I really miss the dual card slot my D7100 had. However, it takes really beautiful pictures. It definitely works better in lower light situations. So far, I am happy with my purchase.

Big move up from D40x

This is my first new DSLR since I purchased a D40x many years ago. I bought the body only, since I have a number of Nikon lenses from the past, including 3 that I used with my Nikon 8008 film camera back in the early '90's (35, 50 and 70-200). The D40x couldn't autofocus with those, but now they're fully usable again. I'm not finding the absence of vibration reduction to be a big problem at the moment, but will probably pick up an 18-300 with it in the future.
I'm very impressed with the size and feel of this camera. Coming from a tiny D40x, I was concerned that it would seem oversized and heavy. But that's not the case at all. It's very comfortable in hand, and light.
I'm still in my learning curve, as this camera has significantly more capability than my previous.
I'm rating it as an excellent value, as I was able to purchase it during a sale with a significant discount, and it was certainly time for me to upgrade. At full list, I probably wouldn't even have considered it, since I take most of my daily photos with my smartphone now, and I haven't been doing that much with my D40x. Maybe that will change now.

Finally Capturing Those Moments

I read many reviews of DSLRs and mirrorless cameras before deciding on this one. I'm not a professional and I didn't want to pay several thousand dollars for (or carry around the extra weight of) a full-frame Nikon. The D7500 is accessible to those with some photography experience, but also has a lot of bells and whistles for when you're ready to grow in the art. It produces very high quality images, is extremely fast, and captures great images even in relatively low light, all of which is helping me take the best photos of my kids to date.

I was looking to update my old Canon Rebel X before heading on an Alaskan vacation. After much research, I landed on the Nikon D7500. I am still learning all the settings, but after taking most with minimal adjustments, the pictures came out amazing. The HD video is remarkable, but the thing that really impressed me was the ability to take bright pictures in low light settings. I used with a Tamron 18-400 lens. This gave me the close up shots to the telephoto without having the carry more than 1 lens.

I haven't had a lot of time to play with my new camera but so far I'm loving it. I kept my Nikon d7200 so I can have both cameras and not have to change lenses so often. I love the 4K video since we have 4K TVs. Missing one card slot doesn't bother me in the least. So far I've had no problem with the app connected to my Samsung Galaxy S7. I only gave it 4 stars because I really haven't had time to play with it much. Was it worth $1,200+ dollars? Maybe. I think that's a personal choice but I had been waiting for this camera for months and glad I purchased it

Moved up from a D5500 and am enjoying the additional 3 frames per sec (to 8), better high-iso performance in lower light and additional ability to access frequently used functions more quickly. The negatives most commonly cited (single card slot & no vertical grip) were not issues for me. Also, considered the d7200 but the D7500 just felt more comfortable in my hands (the deeper grip is really nice) and handling it felt more "natural" for me. I have tested the camera's iso-performance up to 12,800 in indoor lighting at some events and have been very pleased with the JPEGs rendered (haven't tested RAW yet) - compared to my D5500 (which already performs well in low-light), I seem to be getting 1 or 2 stops of additional ISO performance to get images of comparable noise & "quality" (just my unscientific observations). If you're looking to upgrade from a d3xxx or d5xxx series, it'll definitely be worth it. If you already have a d7200, I'm honestly not sure - there are enough professional reviews out there that comment on this topic so my opinion wouldn't be worth much. If you want a D500 but can't justify the cost, I think the D7500 would be a satisfying compromise.
