Bought to replace my D7000. Smaller size so hands Kinda over power it but it’s a great camera over all.

I've been in the market for a new camera for years, that would combine the functions of my HDVR, and D3000 into one device. Was debating whether to purchase a Canon EOS 80D, but coming from a Nikon I didn't want to worry about switching out lenses. Glad I made this decision. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and the management matched a competitor price without even blinking. Would definitely go back to visit this store again and work with Andrew and Don!

Wow! It is an amazing camera. I bought a Nikon D3200 several years ago. But this Nikon D7500 does so much more. I love how everything is a button away instead of having to go through menues. I love the higher IOS as well. I shoot only in manual. Get this camera! I love the flip out screen too!

Worthy upgrade in the D7xxx line

I picked up the D7500 over the weekend. I haven't put it through all of its paces yet. I may come back to update this later. But I figured I'd put some quick thoughts together for anyone on the fence. I've been using a D7100 for a few years and so far the D7500 is definitely worth the upgrade. I have already noticed a big difference in image quality and speed, things that are very important to me. I have not tested it with all my lenses and flash. The autofocus has been very good although it's not the same as with the D500. I have yet to test out running children/dogs in AF-C to see how the focus does. I also haven't done extensive low light testing but the few that I took around 800-1600 ISO looked really good. Some things you should be aware of...these are not necessarily "cons" to me but they may be for you: 1. Adobe and Apple have not released updates for this camera yet. Therefore, Photoshop and Lightroom will not import or process the files yet (JPG or RAW). Video files were recognized by my computer and LR5 though. There are workarounds via free software but it's more time consuming. These may be a disruption to your normal work flow as it has been to mine. Hopefully these updates will be out soon as they normally do. 2. The top window is noticeably smaller than the D7xxx series. However, the shutter speed and aperture # are prominent and fairly big. The other info is squeezed closer together and a few things are missing (i.e. file type). But it's all there on the bigger info screen on the rear. 3. You cannot put a battery grip on it. 4. There is only one SD card slot. 5. Battery life is supposed to be a little shorter than the D7100/7200. But again there are some good pros: 1. Best crop frame sensor available now by Nikon 2. Noticeably lighter than the D7100/7200 3. Better in low light than D7100/7200 4. Touch screen functions 5. Can send pics via wi-fi to your phone. I've read a lot about the D500, which the D7500 is sort of the baby brother of. That thing is a beast that can compete with some of Nikon's full frame cameras. However, it's not for me and I suspect many other people: it is big, fairly heavy, and approaching the cost of a full frame camera. It also only has one SD slot (I don't use the other type it has) and doesn't have a built in flash. Yes, built in flash isn't always the best but I'd rather have it than not. For those of us not wanting or needing the D500 or an entry level FF, the D7500 is a no brainer. An alternative is to wait and see what Nikon does with the updates for the D750, D610, and D810, which may be coming soon. It's possible the cost of FF bodies will come down. However, I for one, am not ready for that leap yet and think the D7500 will serve me well for years to come. Hopefully, I don't eat these words once I put it through more testing as my workflow is restored.

I am by no means a professional photographer and have only experience with the Nikon D5100. I found this camera intimidating but actually fairly easy to use. The manual is so informative, I've only read about one third of it and I've taken some great photos. I love it.

So far I love this camera I upgraded from using my wife’s d5600. It is a bit larger and heavier than the 5600 but not too bad. The interface really isn’t hard to figure out and YouTube always helps. I put this camera to work 3 hrs after it arrived at my door and it hasn’t disappointed.

NIkon has always been reliable for me, bit more buttons to push and different navigation, but great camera, works great, great quality on photo and video, I DONT LIKE THE SCREEN OUT IN THE OPEN, you cant flip it and protect it like previous models.

I bought this camera to improve my photographs for home and for my business. I have 3 lenses, a 30mm, 50mm and a wide angle zoom. This thing is so easy to use for someone like me, who doesn't have time to fully bracket on manual setting. Great pictures on standard settings. The bluetooth transfer to phone is pretty unreliable, but when it works, its great. Overall, I recommend this camera.

I haven't used it a ton yet since finally upgrading from my D3200, but so far it's been great! I'm still getting used to it and how it works differently from my old camera.

Best camera we have ever owned. Lots to learn, but we can still set to auto everything as our experience grows. This was a gift for DH and he is already getting fantastic photos with it. Many seasoned photographers have already complimented him on some of the photos he has posted online, so he is well pleased with the purchase. Can't wait until we start taking fall pics !!!
