With my 70+ years in doing photography the Nikon 850d is probably the most advanced instrument I have used. The image quality with the 24-70 2.8 lens is sharp and contrasty An excellent combo.

Great camera!! Build quality is good, features are easy to use. Overall worth it! Only issue is the video capabilities.

Excellent camera!! Paired with my D500 it’s a dynamic duo!! D500 for sports and the D850 for landscape and portrait. Couldn’t be happier!

I have owned a number of Nikon cameras over the years, most recently two D810's and now this D850. Overall this is a very good camera but it is not an "omg" camera.... Going between this camera and my Sony A7R3 I keep missing the EVF, focus peaking, eye AF, and color science the Sony has over the Nikon, though the Nikon is a fine camera overall. For my needs the Sony is a better choice though I prefer the ergonomics of the gripped d850 better. I should add, however, that the $400+ grip is important to get the most from the D850, so factor that into your calculations, as well as the XQD cards which are expensive at the present time.

Absolute best DSLR ever made. Nikon hit it out of the park with this one! Love it so much I’ve bought three and all from Best Buy. Everytime I was looking to add another BB delivered!

While this camera takes wonderful images it is a vast sampling of plastics-technology. Plastic, plastic, and still more plastic.Then we buy the lenses and guess what? More plastic. Then I buy the battery grip and yes, more plastic.Starting to see a pattern here.A great consumer grade camera

I received my D850 (body only) during April 2018. It was a beautiful camera and the technical aspects were outstanding, however, the build felt cheap compared to my Nikon D500, D700, D4, Olympus OMD EM1 Mk II, and Sony A7R III. In fact, it felt like a toy compared to the "tank" like builds of the Sony A7R III and Olympus EM1 Mk II. Likewise, there is no comparison between the builds of the Nikon D700, D4 and D850. The D850 may have a titanium base, but the cover is made of cheap plastic and the doors and hinges won't last or take any forms of abuse. I thought the battery door would fall off after a few actuations. Long story short, I immediately returned the D850. I was very disappointed with the build quality of the D850.
