I bought this for my son who is a real enthusiast. The shots I've seen are remarkably clear and I'm told is a standout in low light conditions. It requires a different lens than the older D7000 which add quality to the shots.

I love this camera. But I am not comparing it to any of the Z models or more expensive models, just on it's own merits. Do yourself a favor and watch some youtube videos to learn all the functions well as well as some of the things that may not be clear in the manual. I only gave it 3 stars for ease of use, not because there are any issues, only because there is SO MUCH to this camera and it's extensive menus, you really have to take the time to learn it, although it may not be a big deal coming from another Nikon in recent years.

I am still getting use to this camera still. I have to relearn how to take pictures. Due to the large 45 Meg pixel sensor sensor I am seeing a lot of error in my techniques. But I love it. I really do love this camera.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! I upgraded from the D750, which has been my Baby and my workhorse, and this is the perfect upgrade. It’s the D750 on steroids, and I’m very happy.

Best DSLR I ever owned. I've had a D610, D750, D810 and this camera beats them all, quality and performance can't be beat.

This camera can do it all! Portraits and landscapes shine with the 45.7 megapixels! Throw a grip on their with the D5 battery and you can really let it rip for wildlife and sports too!

This is one of 4 Nikons I have for business and my favorite. The file size and clarity of this camera are amazing. It really requires use of an XQD over a SD card bc of file sizes. Favorite features: edge to edge focus selection, touch to focus and shoot on screen, color profile of the chip, sharpness of the files, ergonomics. Beware it eats batteries especially if you have auto review on. The files are sharper than from my Z7 but the Z7 does has less noise at the highest ISO settings. Highly recommend this camera.

There’s nothing like this camera. I’ve worked with canon pretty much my whole life but Nikon has gone all the way to greatness the pixels are out of this world and you dan even take great pictures without flash. Loved it

I love this camera! Took it out for its first shoot and it was everything I expected and more. Stepped up from my D800 and the changes are welcome! If you are on the fence, make the leap.. you wont be disappointed!

I have been a photographer for 40 years and Nikon for 30. The D850 is by far the best camera I have ever owned and the results are incredible under every shooting situation. It is worth every penny!

Nikon D850 is a camera that takes great photos. Rarely miss a bird in flight or dynamic landscape photos. Focusing is spot on most of the time.

I look forward to learning more about this camera as I practice more with it. Before I had a Cannon 7D and that was complicated at times but to get a good shot, I could put it on creative mode, and it would take the best pictures without me doing much. The D850 doesn't have a setting like that, I need to more about it to get great photos out of it for now. And it does not come with a flash so plan on getting a flash, a cheap off brand one or a Nikon one.

After watching Peter Krogh's Digital Archive webinar and then buying and reading/studying his book on the subject, I decided to buy the Nikon 850 which is a very high res camera to scan my analog library!

Excellent camera. The best DSLR hands down. It entails a lot of patience and skill. It gets pricey getting all the accessories but it's all worth it. I would do it over a million times
