Best DSLR camera made by Nikon. Bought my first one 18 months ago. The focus stacking and panning capability is outstanding. Since Nikon has discontinued this camera, I decided to buy another. BestBuy was the only place that had 2 new ones, so I got one. The shutter count on the first one is 3342/200000. I have owned 6 Nikon cameras, this one is the best. Mirrorless cameras are too new and it will be awhile before every thing gets fixed. Besides that, there is no way that I would use adaptors on $20,000 worth of lenses. The image attached was made through a dirty hall window looking at the fawn in my back yard.

I absolutely love this camera! The quality of the images produced is outstanding! Low light capability is great! The images up to around ISO 4000 aren’t too noisy. ISO 6400 is ok. I personally don’t shoot above ISO 8000 because of the deterioration of the quality of the detail in the images. But that is my personal preference.

We love this camera! The Nikon D850 has been giving us sharp and beautiful photos. We loved the first one so much that we purchased a second one and have been using them for our photography business for two years now. Very happy with it.

A legendary camera, I am hesitant to move to mirrorless, why with this spot on focus especially with 70-200 mm fl 2.8, no hiccups, I am not a professional photographer , rather I am a physician and this is my hobby, working this beast to its paces is a breeze…!
I hope Nikon does not kill this great DSLR and I really wish for the D870 , I know it is a long shot but this is my hope. although deep inside I know they are shifting to mirrorless leaving DSLR behind, sad but true, If so it will be the last great DSLR Nikon ever made….! and I am enjoying every click of it…!!

The best DSLR. I upgraded from the D7500 to the D850 and the speed, auto focus and tracking are 10x better that I feel confident I won't miss a single shot.

Upgrading From The Nikon D810. Changed all the settings to match with my old D810, and was in awe from the very first shoot I took. I'm in love all over again, wish I didn't take so long to get it, but was hoping a D880/D900 was on the way.

This camera is simply the best Nikon I have ever owned. The picture quality and detail are amazing. This camera is not for a first time owner because it is complex and demanding but the picture quality is unequaled by any camera that I've ever shot.

Amazing camera. We upgraded from a d5100. I thought the 5100 was taking great pictures, but I was wrong. They were good, the 850 is perfect for wildlife capture, which is the majority of what we do.

There is a learning curve, but with a good user manual this camera is one of the better if not the best DSLR on the market. Really enjoy shooting with this camera.

Yeah this camera has come a long way from my Nikon FE2 back in the day with just knowing aperture and shutter speeds and what type of film to use … I thought I had a lot of options with my Nikon D2x 10 Mega pixels … I am so happy I upgraded and still learning all what this camera can do by watching instructional Youube videos.

I stepped up from a Nikon D3300 and this is a major step up in equipment. This camera is more of an advanced camera and has a ton of features for any type of photography you are looking to shoot . Once you understand the basics of photography you will be taking pictures that will amaze you. Make sure you spend the extra money on a good lens.
Beware of online retailers selling this unit at a discounted price. It will be a gray market/international model and you will not have a warranty nor will you ever be able to get it repaired as camera repair places will not be able to order parts based on a gray market serial number.

The level of detail I can resolve with this camera is unreal. I pair this with a Nikkor 50 f1.8 and a Nikkor 200-500 f5.6. Autofocus is excellent, as expected with camera sharing the system with a D5.
