Best quality camera I've ever owned. Absolutely love this camera. It provides so much clarity and detail on all photos. It is heavier than my other cameras but the quality of the photo makes it work it. If you have used other Nikon DSLR cameras you shouldn't have to many issues learning this one.

Love this camera! Super easy to use, great pictures. Being able to download them via wi-fi through the app is helpful as is the remote shutter release. Couldn't ask for anything more for the level I use it for.

The D850 deserves of all of the hype that reviewers have given it, although I have a way to go before I truly understand all of its options. I have decided to stay with DSLRs despite the industry's move to mirrorless. The D850 has the biggest optical viewfinder of any Nikon DSLR and I'm not willing to move to an electronic viewfinder or replace my F-mount lenses. As some reviewers say, this camera matches the image quality of even the flagship mirrorless cameras.

When the reviews say perhaps the best camera ever made they are not imagining that. The camera is amazing, a bit bulky but I use it on a tripod 99% of the time. You will be amazed by it over and over

This is almost as good as it gets. The build quality is superb, great weather sealing, outstanding resolution and fast and accurate autofocus. The only thing I don't care for is the difficulty and expense of being tied to xqd cards. But that will be taken care of when compact express cards become available. It is heavy and solid, but the size is great for someone with large hands like mine.

This was a massive upgrade from my D7200 and D750. The picture quality is out of this world. I use the full 46MP when shooting landscape and reduce to 24 when shooting portraits/weddings/engagements and the quality is much better than anything I have ever used. It is bigger and heavier than the D750 but worth it. Only downside is no-pop up flash but I rarely ever used it anyway.

I've been looking to upgrade to a full frame camera for a while and found that this camera was on sale for a decent discount, likely because everyone is moving to mirrorless, so I took advantage of the reduced price. I've only taken a few photos so far but it does seem to be a decent upgrade from my D7100.

Love this camera. I have been wanting to purchase this for the last two years and finally made the decision to do so. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the images this camera is able to produce. Best decision I've made all year.

Having used the camera for a few months now, I would say that probably it is not worth going for it .. instead go for mirrorless range as Nikon does not seem to be in a mood to support D850 - one pointer to this is that the camera has a Wifi feature but Nikon's Wireless Transfer utility will not work with D850 - there is no Connect To PC option. This is the only reason i gave it a 4 star.
Coming to the picture quality - they are sharp - as good as it gets! However, if you are doing hand-held photography (which i do most of the times as i mostly photograph birds) any shake is only going to get amplified due to the huge resolution of the images.
Also, probably you need a laptop with at least 16 GB RAM to process the RAW images - 8GB RAM is not good enough for over 50 MB RAW image files that get generated.
I wish Nikon continues supports this camera in future.

I have used this camera now for about 2 months. My previous experience was with the Nikon D200, D810 and most recently the D500. The D850 is more like the D500 in that they both use version 5 of the Nikon firmware. The D850 is probably not the best buy for a novice photographer. My experience with the D500 made the transition easier. The photos that it takes are superb -- sharp and the colors crisp. I can control all parameters at my fingertips. Best camera I have ever used.

I didn't love this camera. The shutter malfunctioned the first time I used it and it was leaving my photos half black. I'll likely be buying a Z5II instead. The photos it took before the malfunction were crisp, though.

Received the camera on time through the mail which was critical as I was going on a trip. It was packaged will all the required components. I am taking some of the best pictures I ever have. With the additional resolution it makes it much easier to crop pictures when necessary. Very crisp and clear.
