The last of its kind apparently. Definitely a enthusiast+/Professional grade camera. With the bigger MP, your flaws will stand out a bit more which will only make you better in the long run. Not that great for video for those who want to vlog. Recommend getting another EN-EL-15C or even an 18.

At first, I was kinda disappointed in the camera having no flip up flash. But after realizing the exceptional abilities of the advanced iso improvements, it didn't really matter. It's awesome. My last purchase was a Nikon 800, so I was expecting controls and menu selections to be mostly the same. However, the new focusing system and the extent of its capabilities create so many menu differences that it was like it required a whole new study to fully understand and utilize the capabilities of what it can do. I am still in the process of learning a lot of this stuff, but as I am learning I find out more and more how this camera is steps above what I have been used to. Now I just gotta put my nose to the grindstone and enter this new world. I am anxious, but confident, to see just how much my photography will improve.

I should not have waited so long to upgrade to the D850. Regardless of the fact that it is 8-year-old technology, it still has capabilities that rival the most sophisticated mirrorless systems.

I’ve been wanting this camera for years but was too expensive. When I saw it was on sale I had to get it! Great camera at a great price!

Before I bought this, I was using the Nikon D750, which already was a pretty incredible camera. I thought that upgrading to the D850 would definitely upgrade the quality, but I didn't think that it would do much more. It has FAR exceeded my expectations. I literally saw a difference in my photos, especially photos at night time or sunset.

Camera is a little bit heavy but pictures are really beautifull ..

Great upgrade from D7200. Works with my existing lenses, including 200-500 mm Nikkor. I am a Nikon enthusiast, and this camera body does everything I want it to do and more.

I bought this camera for my wife because I read great reviews for the Nikon d850. She already owned a d750 so the d850 was an easy transition for her. She really likes the 4k video that the d850 has to offer. She also loves the picture quality. Overall this is a great camera!

This is an amazing camera. So many nifty features and being able to customize shortcut buttons was the big selling point for me. The pictures are so crisp and the focus with the right lens is almost instantaneous. Nikon will hold all my future camera purchases.

I purchased the D850 primarily for sports photography (mostly in low light), but it excels at everything I've used it for since it's purchase - concerts, nature, portraits, etc. The camera is well built and has performed well in every environment so far - from dark and dusty, to wet and musty. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and can't wait to see what images I can catch with it each weekend!

Super sharp and easy to use. I had the D810 and now I have this. What a great improvement!!

Excellent camera! For those looking for a pro approach but can't afford a top model of Nikon, this is an option to consider, definitely!

I had to educate myself and still educating myself on how to use the camera. Complexity it gets 2 stars. Pictures it gets 5 stars. Being able to use my old lens that is over 15 years old, it gets 5 stars.

The Nikon D850 seems to do everything very well. All of my Nikon lenses and flash purchased 25 years ago work perfectly. Great camera. Quality build with great performance and results.

I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MY ORDER WHEREAS NIKON THEMSELVES APOLOGIZED FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO FILL ALL THE COUSTOMER ORDERS. ON SEPT 7TH THE OFFICAL RELEASE DATE MY ORDER KEPT SAYING PROCESSING. ON SEPT 8TH I GOT AN EMAIL FROM BESTBUY THAT MY ORDER HAD SHIPPED. I WAS EXPECTING IT TO SHIP GROUND AND POSSIABLE DELIVERED ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY. AFTER CHECKING MY TRACKING NUMBER. TO MY ELATION BESTBUY SHIPPED IT OVERNIGHT EXPRESS AND I HAD MY BABY IN MY HANDS BY 10AM SEPT 9TH. GREAT JOB BEST BUY AS FOR THE CAMERA IT'S GREAT SO FAR ITS TOO EARLY TO GIVE A FULL EVALUTION. BUT I CAN SAY THIS I HAVE BEEN SHOOTING AT 12800 ISO AND GETTING CLEAN SHARP PHOTOS WAY BETTER THAN MY D810 . THE FOCUS IS EXTREAMLY FAST AND SPOT ON. THE DYNAMIC RANGE IS EXCELLENT. THE TOUCH SCREEN IS A PLEASURE FOR SCROLLING THROUGHT THE MENU. IN LIVE VIEW THE TOUCH AF/TO FOCUS,SHUTTER APPLICATION DOESN'T SEEM TO BE IMPLIMENTED AS WELL. AS OLYMPUS AND PANASONICS TOUCH AF/SHUTTER . THE CAMERA HUNTS SOMETIME. IT SEEMS TO BE A HIT OR MISS TYPE OF SITUATION. I EXPECT THIS WILL BE RESOLVED WITH A FUTURE UPDATE. AS I SAID EARLY IT'S REALLY TO EARLLY TO EARLY TO GIVE AN IN DEPTH OVERALL EVALUATION OF THE CAMERA. AT THE TIME OF THE REVIEW I HAVN'T HAD THE CAMERA 24 HOURS. This is a GREAT camera. It takes some getting used though. The first day I was disappointed with my results. However once a photography instructor helped me make some changes to the factory settings, I was soon getting some great photos. So much detail. Still trying out all the various functions. Have been having lots of fun with this camera. Have not tried the video options yet.

Im a novice photographer. Still learning. But this camera is everything I could ask for. Pictures come out clean. Its fast. Paired with a 70-200 2.8 it shoots magic!

Great camera, upgraded from my 610. Should have done this a few years ago.
