With my first D850 being missing in action, after almost five years of excellent service, I needed a replacement, for what is arguably the best DSLR in the world. So, I bought my second D850. Simple as that. Hopefully, my first one was merely misplaced, and will be found. There is nothing wrong with having a spare.

THE D850 NIKON CAMERA IS A DREAM. IT IS EXPENSIVE BUT. EASY TO HANDLE, CONTROLS ARE SMOOTH, AND WITH THAT MANY MEGAPIXELS YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. I AM REALY HAPPY WITH IT. THANKS.

Best Camera Ive ever owned! Easy interface and as many options as you want. get 500-800 shots per charge.

I have owned the camera for just over a week. So far it is pretty awesome. Still learning/playing with all the menu items / settings. Initial shots do show a couple of things: 1) - the high MP sensor requires very good technique as it shows everything; 2) - cheap glass will not give you the quality you want from such a large sensor (this makes sense - you don't put cheap glass on such a high MP camera). Will update the review in a few weeks. I have some landscape trips planned - we'll see what I get.

Best camera ever. Yes it is expensive, but worthwhile for anyone who wants to take photography to the next level.

My husband has had one for a year and I finally got one. It’s just a great, solid camera. So many features and resolution is amazong.

Looks like Nikon is unlikely to release a replacement for the DSLR with the focus on mirrorless. Bad move Nikon, some of us have NO advantage with the electronic viewfinder and depend on older glass that does not work with the mirrorless. So - This is the last of the DSLR and may be the last camera body I buy from Nikon if their stupidity continues and requires me to buy new glass.

This camera is amazing. Camera has built in image stacking. The resolution is extraordinary. I highly recommend this camera for all types of pictures.
