It's perfect for him, he will enjoy it, I am pretty sure about it. This is the perfect camera for him.

Great detail captured and super focusing capabilities. I can’t believe that I stuck with my old camera so long. $500 savings helped me overcome my resistance to upgrade. I’m so glad I bought this camera. It makes me want to shoot all the time.

When I first turned it on and realized what I had in my hands I felt like it was Christmas morning and I just got everything I ever wanted all in one camera. I own a complete array of Nikon cameras (film and digital) and equipment.
