Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the exceptional camera quality, ease of use, and high resolution of the D850 DSLR. Many also praise its impressive low-light performance and long battery life, while noting its extensive features. However, some find the camera's weight and size to be substantial, and the price point relatively high. A learning curve is also mentioned by a few users.

This camera is WAY better than my D750. I encourage you to pick up a book or do some serious research on working with all of it's abilities. This is a professional camera with the ability to do 10 frames per second with extra battery holder. I have caught some amazing photos the with high megapixels and ability to crop even more. If you have the extra bucks, pair this with a Nikon 200-500 and your wildlife pictures will astound you.

This is not a lightweight camera, especially with the Nikkor 200-500mm zoom telephoto lens. However, I’ve been able to capture some amazing bird-in-flight photos. If you use this combinationin the field, seriously consider using a monopod.

Very responsive. The advanced menu and layout can be a bit intimidating if you are not used to Nikon DSLR's. Once you get familiar with the numerous features and options, it is fantastic. The ISO is the best I have used in low ambient light. Fast AF, responsive and built solidly with high quality to endure the elements and many years of enjoyable use.

This is my second Nikon camera purchase. I wanted an upgrade from my Nikon D5200. I absolutely love this camera. It allows me to have every picture I take directly uploaded onto my phone with the SnapBridge app. Been taking hundreds of pictures of my daughter and my two nieces playing high school soccer. Great purchase!

What a beast of a camera the Nikon d850 is!

I was looking for a camera with high megapixel and I was looking around for cameras with power. I saw reviews and examples and the Nikon d850 was such a beast of a camera for being a DSLR. My choice for also buying it is because it's the last DSLR for Nikon in full-frame. I like Nikon and have a Nikon FM-10, so I already had glass for the camera. The 4k is great, too. Can't beat it.

I'm an amateur photographer making the jump from a crop sensor to full frame. Since I don't upgrade my camera body very often (my other camera is a D7000), I decided to go with the best full frame body I could afford. I went with the D850 instead of the Z7 because I like having the buttons to control the camera settings vs digging into menu options. Also, XQD cards are stupid expensive. I'm loving the image quality and low light performance. I haven't printed and photos yet.

Great Camera ... VERY POOR Geek Squad Warranty

I've shot Nikon for many years starting with the D70 ... in the recent past Nikon has made a number of missteps with their FX line of cameras ... starting with the 800 series they've corrected a number of issues and the D850 is a winner. I also shoot a Sony A7II which is a great camera but when attempting to get it repaired under the 3 year Geek Squad Warranty I ran into a brick wall ... the customer is always wrong and it's the user not the camera. The Geek Squad Warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on!

I purchased this camera to use as my main camera as I currently own both the d800 and d750. I shoot a lot of weddings and events and I most say that this camera is amazing. You do have to learn the ins and outs due to this camera would show you any imperfections in your technique.

I am a seasoned wedding photographer in the Houston, TX area, and previously shot all weddings with a D750. After upgrading to the D850, my only regret is not having done so sooner! This body is incredibly fast, works wonders in low light, and the images are the sharpest I've ever seen. I paired it with the 58mm f1.4 nikon lens, and it is absolutely amazing. Totally recommend this for professional photographers. It is worth the investment!

When introduced a years ago all of the reviewers could not say anything but amazing things about this camera. It took a while to work it into my budget, but I firmly believe that this camera is the best DSLR camera available today. It is heavy, but it also has a feeling of sturdiness that comes with a well-built camera.
