Standard Battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This standard battery is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I didn't expect much more from it, as it gets the same life as my stock original. Solid backup.

It's always good to carry a spare
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend the extra battery for those like myself that don't want to lose a moment so it can be expensive, but worth it.

Good battery back-up for d7100
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm always taking pictures and video and it's frustrating when your battery goes dead. This battery is the same one that came with the camera.

What I Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the size of these batteries the life could be a lot better but then Nikon would not make as much money and be able to sell the battery packs.

I only use Nikon Branded batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past I've purchased other manufactures batteries for my Nikon cameras with mixed results. They either don't last as long when shooting or they fail to charge, so now I only purchase Nikon batteries, since they stand firmly behind their products.

Power-House
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this battery for my Nikon D7000 camera which I have owned for several years. This is a fantastic battery, that has worked flawlessly since day one. The battery holds a great charge over extended periods of time. I have fully charged this battery on numerous occasions and have left it in the camera for several months only to find that it holds its charge. I have taken hundreds upon hundreds of photographs on a single charge and still have plenty juice left in reserve. Personally, I would not bother with off brands that you find on the internet, as you will be disappointed in the long run. This is a quality product that you can count on for severals years to come. This battery is a winner. Highly recommend to anyone needing to replace their current battery.

Battery doesn't last as long as my old Nikon batt.

It is a bit expensive - but it lasts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a second battery for my new D750 - figuring that I did not want to lose shots because a battery ran down. I was surprised to learn how many shots they last - about 700-1000. (This will depend on what you are doing.) SO - they are expensive - but they are well made.

Always great to have a back-up battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this battery for my Nikon D7000 DSLR. It's always great to have more than one battery! When using this type of battery, you'll want to use it till it absolutely quits--then put it in the charger. (This will preserve the maximum battery life.) Generally I can get a good solid 3-4 hours of continuous shooting--and the battery will last pretty much all day if I use just the viewfinder (and not the live view screen) and avoid too much checking of photos on the playback screen. I try not to depress the shutter release half-way for a long periods of time when setting up a shot (because constant auto-focus adjustments will drain the battery faster.) For the price, it's a good battery. (Note: The original battery that came with my Best Buy package-deal purchase was actually recalled by Nikon--lots "E" or "F"--and the Nikon authorized exchange via courier went smoothly.)

Always buy manufacturer's battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always buy extra batteries from the manufacturer of the product it is intended for. I find over time these keep their charge much better then 3rd party batteries. I usually don't pay attention to "these are the same ones the manufacturers use". Love this battery the one that came with my camera (same model) lasts a long time. I just bought this one for long trips.

New standard Mid-DSLR Nikon battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Nikon's new standard battery for a midsized DSLR - packing more power than the smaller EN-EL14 used in the plastic consumer bodies, and less than the larger EN-EL18 used in the D4 or the battery grip for the D800. It fits the V1, D7000, D7100, D600, D610, D800 and D800E as of this writing. The major difference between this and the EN-EL3, which is the same sized battery for older cameras, is that the EN-EL15 has concealed contacts to prevent shorting and fires, and to comply with new Japanese laws. Do yourself a favor, and get the genuine Nikon ones: they last through many more charge cycles, and the third party batteries aren't much cheaper when you're talking about something powering your (rather expensive) DSLR.

Highly recommend having a spare battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With any camera, I highly recommend having a spare battery. The Nikon Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for the Nikon D7000 holds a charge longer than I expercted. It is small enough to toss in your camera bag so you won't miss that next great shot.

This battery, EN-EL15, works on D800 also
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know why Best Buy don't list this battery with Nikon product Code EN-EL15. It would help them sell bunch more if they list it as being compatible with new Nikon D800 DSLR. Just another small reminder that illustrates why Best Buy is losing out to Amazon. OK, as for the battery, it works flawlessly as one would expect from the replacement OEM Nikon battery.

Useful addition
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a second battery for my D7000. It works like the original. I carried a second battery for touring Europe, but the life of the roiginal battery was sufficient. There is a recall from Nikon on two lots of these batteries, but neither my original nor this battery were included. The recalled lots are "E" and "F". If these letters are included in the serial number as the eigth character, then the battery is in the recall.
