    I purchased this to replace one that didn't work. Well, this one works but I decided to purchase the wired shutter release by Nikon as well. If you are going to be taking pictures on a tripod and you are going to be standing right beside the camera, just buy the wired one.

    Purchasing this item to replace some existing triggers that I paid $10 for from another store hoping a genuine Nikon version would at least work for awhile.. well, it worked for the first 2 times I tried it and now it's in the same pile as the $10 versions.. Nikon is pretty proud of this item priced at $29.95 at Best Buy.. Not impressed..
