It works about half the time. Take into consideration its an optical remote and you have to have it in front of the camera for it to work. Its ok for situations where you cannot plug a regular wired shutter release in.

It's cheaply built and very light weight. It's frustrating to use unless you plan on taking the exposure within about 1 minute or the camera settings revert to manual operation.

This simple remote was great while it worked! Unfortunately, after about 6 months of minimal use, it was no longer functioning properly.

I got a bad one and returned it for a refund. I have not purchased a replacement for it yet but probably will.( it happens). Until I replace it I can not recommend it.

This remote is ok for taking still pictures you want to be included in. Just have to make sure you adjust the settings on your camera each time you cut it off.

It works ok I just don't like how you have to literally point the remote at a certain spot on the camera to work.

This remote only works when it is in the close proximity of the camera. You move this couple feet away and there is no response. I am ok with getting closer since my photographs are mostly landscapes. But found it very annoying trying to make it work in family photographs where I need to stand too.

Many times cannot get it to work. Have been right in front of the camera and nothing. Has become a joke with my family when I take it out to use. Disappointed with purchase.

Okay I guess if you don't want to spend more money on a more reliable trigger, this might do. I bought this thing thinking it had good range but It really sucks. You have to pointed directly straight at the camera's sensor and even doing so, It will miss fire many times. I bought it because the person at Best Buy told me that it was great for what I wanted to do, but I can see that Best Buy employees just want to sell you anything. I can't return it because I lost the box. I guess I lost 25 dollars on this thing.

Please see your Nikon camera's manual for information regarding compatible remotes. If the ML-L3 remote is compatible with your camera then instructions for using the remote will also be in the camera manual. Nikon

Unfortunately this good idea will not work with Nikon D5600 series cameras. Although it may be compatible with others, Nikon missed an opportunity to sell more product. Purchased an aftermarket unit and very satisfied with it. Shame on Nikon

Works perfectly with my D7100, an absolute must for nighttime photography, especially around the city. Very lightweight, great on battery life, so small & convenient that you forget it's even in the bag, at times. Works seamlessly, no fuss at all. I highly recommend this product to anyone who takes a lot of nighttime/low-light shots, definitely will help as far as staying in-focus / stabilizing your shot. Well worth it!

One of the store executives said this can be used with Nikon D600 and hence I bought it.. But however, it was NOT suitable and could not be recognized at all.. So if you are buying this for D600 wait for WU-1B to be released exclusively for D600 and go for it.

I purchased this remote for my Nikon D5000 because I had some extra rewards zone money to spend. I thought for the price this was a good buy. My wife and I will be using it for family portraits without using a timer. The remote is easy to use, just go into the menu and select the remote setting. Thats it! The discription was accurate as I have been able to use it at a distance of 16 feet infront of the camera. The only thing I would like to see changed is the capability to for the IR signal to reach the camera's wireless sensor with your hand just slightly behind the camera (maybe 6 in or less), but that is just part of the technology. It's not Bluetooth. Just remember for around $18 your going to get plastic. It is not the strongest material, but will last with care.
