I find that the device is not good at activating the shutter from when you are behind the camera (D5000) making it harder to use if you are trying to use the remote for a tripod, making it harder to take scenery pictures.

Now i have to go to a nearby best buy to get it fixed whatsoever. Best Buy, please make sure that the item you deliver via online, that it works. Now i have to go to the store and have it fix.

Detailed instructions on using the ML-L3 with the D3400 can be found starting on page 95 of the D3400 Reference Manual which can be downloaded from here: https://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/330/D3400.html . Please contact Nikon Support at 1-800-NikonUS for further assistance with using the ML-L3 to trigger the D3400.
