Great for pros and beginners

Very easy to use. Just be careful not to bump it while it’s on the camera as the hot shoes are kind of delicate.

The Flash

I haven't used it other than to test it out but so far I'm happy with my purchase. The only negative thing a can say about this flash is that it adds a little weight to the camera, so be prepared.

I like the features of the sb-700 such as manual power settings, focuses with your lens up to 85mm, IR control of remote flashes in different groups (I have not tried that yet) and the diffuser adds another dimension to photos. The locking mechanism could be more firm (I have a D5100), but is mostly secure.
