Surprisingly long lasting with the batteries I got from best buy as well. Only quip is length of time between the flashes which is still reasonable. Would purchase again for more money.

Lots of Features

She needed a larger flash, as the camera's own built in flash was not adequate enough and shadows were being casted in her pictures. We were going on vacation in a week, so our choices were limited to what was in stock at our local Best Buy. We chose the least expensive option, as we did not need the remote discharge feature. So far, so good. The flash can be angled to bounce light off different surfaces. My wife hasn't played with all the features, but the flash does come with a stand so you could use it off the camera. It fits her needs, for now!
