This device plugs into the camera and pairs with your iphone through a free app. You can download Nikon photos into the phone for sending by text or email. Also the phone can be used as a remote shutter release.

I was skeptical based on some of the reviews. But we downloaded the app on an iPhone 6 and it connected to the adapter without any issues. My wife has used it several times and loves it.

Wish is had the money to buy built in. When the camera refreshes while uploading photos. You lose wifi

This little device does exactly what I need it to do. It allows me to view pictures on my tablet directly from the camera. I can transfer images which is helpful, especially when I need to have a larger viewer than the camera's viewer/display.

I purchased this to be able to use wifi to download my photos into a mass storage device. This should provide instant access and backup for the travel photos I will be taking on my retirement trip. Initial tests using a NIKON Coolpix P520 have been very positive.

This thing NEVER worked right. I tried to get it to work several times. I contacted Nikon for help but they were USELESS! Customer support was the WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN! It was pathetic. The installation instructions were skimpy and the troubleshooting section was USELESS as well. I really wished this product actually worked as advertised. After trying to install for several days I returned this PIECE OF JUNK. I would not recommend to anyone.

I'm still learning how to use it, but so far I like it that I can get the photos to my phone so I can share them quicker.

It does just what it says it does. However, if you download DSLR dashboard, you have complete control over the camera VS the Nikon app that is a joke! Cmon Nikon! You're much better than to let someone else write an app that blows yours out of the water!

not fair rating, didn't get to use because my camera came out 1 year before this devise.

Going for an adapter over the built-in WiFi saves some money. For me, this adapter has worked as expected. Never failed. It provides a lot of advantage while using it with Nikon's Smartphone App.

Very slow connection. Device gets hot. Better off getting camera with built in wifi.

This is only for someone using a tripod. I did not like the product and ended up returning it.

After purchasing adapter you have to download an app to your phone for the WiFi to connect. The applaying constantly disconnects from the camera mid download so the process has to be started all over. Tried to return to my local Best Buy and they wouldn't do anything except exchange for same item. Sure didn't want the same product that didn't work. Don't waste your money more trouble then just connecting to the computer.

Camera should have wifi but this works. Used on a 7100. It'd be nice to be able to control the camera function like shutter speed or f stop.

This is an okay product but you have to download the app and if you dont have service you're basically wasting your time.

Doesn't work on Samsung S6. Package didn't give much information. Have to return.

It is wonderful when you are traveling, it sends The pictures to other devices and you do not have to worry about a full memory card.
