Amazing image quality, mediocre autofocus
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from a D610, the image quality and low light performance is amazing. I also appreciate the reduced weight for backpacking. I have medium sized hands and occasionally I do find my pinky fingers off the edge of the body. Shooting indoors in lower light conditions I did find I had to pay a lot more attention to the autofocus and durring action shots,I did miss the mark a few times. Overall still really rnjoy using the camera

Great camera for photo and video!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding camera! I was going to upgrade from the Z6, but decided to keep the Z6 for video. The images out of the Z7ii are outstanding and it is nice to have the flexibility to crop in a little more. When I don't crop, it is even better! I shot some video with the new camera and it was great too! Very clear and auto focus worked as it should. One thing I have to say to the negative Nikon people, I shot some long videos at full resolution and I didn't need to stop because the camera got hot (same with my Z6, can run it for hours on live webinars). I have been on video shoots with videographers using the other two main brands and they all needed to stop to wait for their cameras to cool down. Not an issue here! I have been shooting with my new 24-200 at the beach and was able to get some incredible wild life shots (have other lenses, but wanted to use this one). Although my F mount lenses are working great, even the 24-200 Z lens takes great pictures! I am on a budget, but can't wait to get some of the more expensive Z lenses. You can't beat Nikon glass and Nikon colors! I wish I can say that I can compare this against the Z7, but have only used the Z6. This is very fast and focus is great whether with people or wildlife. Can't say enough about the camera, if you are thinking about this camera, just get it!

Nice but disappointed in some features.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from the D850 and don't like this camera as much. Pros: it is lighter and has eye tracking. The color is quite a bit different from the D850 (if you're planning on carrying this with another body style, it takes time to match color while editing). I have issues with skin tones looking muddy, which is something I've never struggled with before. I like the eye tracking, but it doesn't always work. I also feel like the images are flat compared to the D850 (and I have worked with adjusting in-camera settings). If I was starting with this camera I would probably think it was pretty great, but knowing what I've been capable of doing, I've been disappointed. This camera body is smaller, so I would suggest getting the battery grip if you have bigger hands. I have medium sized hands and find that it's almost uncomfortably small and off-balanced with larger lenses. The buttons are also smaller and has made it tricky to quickly change settings while I have the camera up to my eye. I feel like this camera was designed to be held and shot with an extended arm instead of up to your eye. It being lighter than my past dslr cameras is a perk though.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome product. Excellent quality. The Z 7’s core strength lies in its 45.7MP BSI-CMOS sensor. It delivers astonishing detail, high dynamic range (especially at its base ISO 64), and excellent color depth. For photographers specializing in landscape, architecture, studio, and fine-art photography, this sensor is still world-class. The lack of an anti-aliasing (AA) filter maximizes sharpness

Z7 ii
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mirrorless camera! Light weight, sturdy, and powerful. Too bad Tamron and Sigma F lenses with FTZ adaptor don’t work too well. It doesn’t look like a very expensive camera though.

Awesome camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use this for stills only as I don’t shoot video. Fantastic captures on this body, using with F lens and FZ adapter for wildlife and scenic images. Highly recommend this body

I love this camera!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera. I've been a Nikon shooter for some time now and I was using the D850. I decided to go mirrorless so I picked up the Z7ii. It is essentially a mirrorless version of the D850. This camera is feature-packed and image quality is superb. So far, my only complaint is that Nikon doesn't have a better option for a remote wireless shutter. It would be nice if there was a Bluetooth technology that can act as the shutter release, but I have to find one. There Z7ii has the DC2 port for a wired option or their ridiculously expensive wireless transmitter, but that's not really an option for me since I use an l-bracket and I don't want to have something plugged when I want to switch to portrait mode. Also, I wish Nikon made the rear screen fully articulating like Canon. It only tilts which is great when shooting landscape from a low perspective, but shooting portrait will be challenging to see the screen if the camera is down low.

DSLR to mirrorless.... Just do it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hesitated for a long time to upgrade from a dslr to mirrorless. After a month of shooting with this, I don't have a desire to pick up my d750. Its weight and picture quality is great. The new auto focus system didnt take long to get used to and its been awesome. Get the FTZ, all the old lens work great.

A Masterpiece
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Z 7 II is a masterpiece. Lightweight and easy to handle. Before I bought this camera I was contemplating buying the Z 8 which is about $1000.00 bucks more. But I decided on this Z 7 II and I don't regret my decision.

Major upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the Nikon d750 and my mind is blown. Always been a nikon users so i had my eyes on this or the Z6 II. Chose this one as it's a higher megapixel and it does 4k 60 fps. Also bought to ftz adapter so i can use my f mount lens. It works perfectly together. It is compact and light. Cant wait to travel again so i can take this camera with me.

Fun camera to learn on for mirrorless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first mirrorless camera. I have only had it for less than 3 weeks, but already I love it. It acquires fast and accurate focus, I tried the eye AF on a book cover with a face on it and it locked right in on the eye and produced a sharp image of it. It is definitely a learning curve, but it is a fun camera to work with. It produces sharp images with my F mount lens on the FTZ adapter. No regrets on this purchase and highly recommended.

Pleased..
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crisp, clean images!!! All the things I love about the Nikon lives in this camera! Very pleased.. very light. Don't like the price tag on the video SD card, but glad there is a normal SD slot. Very happy with this camera-- as well as the 30mm lens I bought with it!

Excellent Mirrorless Selection from Nikon
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did tons of research beforehand and decided this was the best choice on the market for me. It's lightweight, sharp and has excellent glass lenses. As a few others said, I wish that Nikon made the rear screen fully swivel but overall it's not a deal breaker.

Best Buy purchase of Nikon Z7ii - fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After months of research, I decided to purchase the Nikon Z7ii. I chose to purchase from Best Buy because the prices are fair, they match, and offer great services so I can be worry free on photo shoots. I've had the camera about 6 weeks and had the opportunity to go on about four or five photo shoots. The results are fantastic. With over 30 years photography experience, this camera is the best yet. Will definitely purchase future photography needs from Buy Best. Cannot wait to uncover all the possibilities with this camera.

Nikon
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mirrorless camera. My first mirrorless and a decent step up from my previous DSLR, (Nikon D750). The transition was smooth and easy, (nominal learning curve). Besides the mirrorless features, the Z 7ii is lighter weight, double megapixels and the camera is a decent step into professional level photography.
