Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the excellent camera quality, ease of use, and lightweight, compact design of the Z50 Mirrorless Camera. Many appreciate its affordability and comfortable grip. However, some users express concerns about the battery life and the use of a micro USB port instead of a USB-C port. The included lenses are also frequently praised.

Had to pass on this camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not that impressed with the quality of the photos compared to my very old D90. Expected to see a marked difference. Many phones these days take as good of photos.

Not user friendly camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Nikon-Z50 to take photos/video on my vacation. The picture quality is OK, low light picture quality is also ok. But, the camera itself is not user friendly. The LCD monitor tilts down in a selfie mode; however, if you mount the camera on a tripod, the LCD tilt down selfie mode is useless. What a thoughtless design. Also, there's a big processing delay between taking pictures (few seconds), even with a high speed high quality SD card. The menu is not very user friendly either. Honestly, I don't think it is worth $1200. It should be around $400. I did not want to but this camera to begin with but the sales associate at Best Buy convinced to buy it. I did not like the camera at all and retuned it to BestBuy. Here is the worst part, the Best Buy charged me 15% ($180) restocking fee. So be aware of that. Do your homework and don't listen to their sales associate. What a customer service!!!

||Posted . Poor service/product
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broke in less than a week after purchasing. 5 months later I still do not have it back. Out $1400 and missed the opportunity to take pictures on a trip in which I purchased the camera from.

Terrible Customer Service
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The camera lense would not focus. I took it back for repair under the geek squad warranty that I purchased. It has been there for two months and no one at the Geek Squad can provide any information on where my camera lense is or the status. I have spent hours on the phone with no progress. Worst customer experience ever! I am not sure I will ever see my camera lense again.

Nikon Dropped the Ball
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Can’t believe there is no way to attach a manual shutter release to this camera. Just wireless which does me no good living where I live and doing nighttime long exposures.

Not easy or clear to make work at all.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure this camera is working properly. There is a long pause following taking a picture that doesn't seem to end until I take another shot. As a result I often end up taking a random shot that I can't view after the intentional shot. Of course a few months after the purchase, which was just at the start of the pandemic, the camera is no longer returnable. I'm very dissappointed, as I've been a long time user of Nikon cameras. I expected more from them.

Solid entry level/vlogging camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This camera, especially with the dual lens kit, is amazing for people new to photography. I have one to complement my Z5 as my primary camera, and use it primarily for videoing myself. Its small size and weight makes it really easy to bring with me, even with a bunch of other lenses, and the range this camera is capable of with the dual lens kit is wonderful. For about a year it was my primary camera before I upgraded to full frame, but this thing has proven to be very capable and very durable. Especially on the holiday sales it is a steal.

Gateway Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera for a variety of subjects. Auto-Focus is its weak point though. Kit lenses do a good job but feel very cheap and plasticky. Great gateway camera and has been flawlessly reliable. I never missed the fact that it's a crop sensor camera. Small and compact and very water/dust proof.
