Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the excellent camera quality, ease of use, and lightweight, compact design of the Z50 Mirrorless Camera. Many appreciate its affordability and comfortable grip. However, some users express concerns about the battery life and the use of a micro USB port instead of a USB-C port. The included lenses are also frequently praised.

Very good value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is very good value. It is one of the best cheap mirror less cameras and is extremely easy to use. The 2 lenses are also very good for the price. The only downside with this camera is that the auto focus is not amazing but other than that it is 100% worth it.

Nice camera
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is a really nice breakthrough camera for beginners or an upgrade from an older camera. I found it to do what it needed to as performance wise. Best Buy had the best deal for you buck with the Nikon z50 at the time of purchasing. Love it still currently.

Great camera and system
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just what I was looking for - a highly sophisticated camera system with technical features that are easy to operate. Great results for someone with some proficiency but not a professional photographer.

Nikon Z50
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nikon products are amazing, and this camera is no exception. It takes a little while to get used to the digital viewfinder, but love the quality so far. Its so much more light to carry than my original Nikon D60 and Canon T3i. I love the fact I can touch the screen and it causes the shutter to go off because it helps with camera shake. I also am happy to be back in the old feel of Nikon.

Best APS-C camera out there.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive used Fuji, Canon, and Sony crop sensors before including the XT3 Xt30, HX1, X100v, a6000, a6500, and 80D. For me it has canon and fuji colors right straight out of the camera with the auto focus and sharpness of sony. I use this to supplement my a7Riv. Definitely get the two kit lenses as they are superb. They are not the fastest on their tele end, but for most things outdoors, they will be fine. Higher ISOs are actually quite nice due to its pixel density and sensor size. The only negative in my opinion are the controls, but if you are a Nikon shooter, it is probably right up your alley. They are just not what I am used to. Battery life is amazing for how small the battery is. But being a new battery, they are expensive and hard to find in stock. No 3rd party batteries available yet. No IBIS, but the VR is very good that i prefer the lighter weight without IBIS. This camera has everything you need to get out and go, just add a screen protector as I do on all my cameras. Overall even with my primary camera system being another brand, this is a kit I will keep and use frequently.

Good for beginners or as a second light camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent value, far higher in quality than what the same price would've gotten 10-15 years ago. Though it has to be said that this feels more like a DSLR layout on a point and shoot sized body - it feels solid but it doesn't have the same imposing bulk and heft of DSLRs. Don't listen to online complaints about battery life, it lasts long enough for a full day of shooting. Also great for shooting video.

Nikon Z50
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera. I really like the 2 lenses in the kit. They are some of the sharpest lenses I've ever used. I upgraded from a Nikon D5500. I use the Z50 with the 16-50 lens for 90% of my shooting. I have a Nikon FTZ lens adapter and it works with all my other lenses and will autofocus with all of them, though the auto focus may be slower.

Good first step into the Z series
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the fourth Nikon I have purchased: N80, D70s, D90 and now the Z55. There are some features from those models missing, such as the top LCD display and a drive pin for non-motorized focus lenses. It also has a micro USB instead of USB-C, which is weird because the other Z bodies use USB-C. This will be used as a way to bridge the gap from the F-mount to the new Z-mount. The opening for the Z-mount is huge! Looking forward to new lenses coming out, and a body between the Z55 and Z6.
