Customers have good things to say about the air fryer, ease of use, and smart finish features. Many appreciate the oven's ability to toast and its overall versatility. However, some customers mention the oven's size as being too small for larger items, and others note inconsistencies in temperature and cooking times. The price point was also a concern for some buyers.

Perfect for me as a single person. The top area is a little too shallow for a lot of things makes perfect toast, and does enough that it works for me. Absolutely love this oven as it’s so much better than my previous one almost all things are perfect would definitely recommend for small families Lunger families probably the single oven would be best.

The Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven is a game changer for cooking multiple items for one meal. No more cooking one thing at a time — and then figuring out how you’re going to keep the first dish you cooked warm while the second one is in the oven. You can cook them at the same time! …even if you need staggered cooking times! Crazy, I tell ya’! This feature makes this the perfect oven setup for more energy efficient cooking, apartment/condo living, and faster meal prep. We’re a family of 4 with a full-size kitchen and love not having to heat up the whole area when cooking. The Flex Door on this oven is a kick in the pants. You can open the top only or both at the same time. Place the desired items to be cooked, even if they require different temps and times, and get cooking! There’s even a temp probe that you can use in the lower oven for larger cuts of meat or fryers. This probe and cable also conveniently wrap around and stow away, if you will, using a magnetic holder that stays right on the side of the oven. No more digging around in that catch-all kitchen drawer trying to find the dang thing! Our favorite cooking features (remember, there are 12 preset modes) — Air fryer? — check. Perfect for fries, tater tots, the list is endless. I just used it last night to reheat some leftover fried shrimp which we would normally throw out. It was as good as when it was first served. Baking? — check. For me, there’s a small learning curve using this due to the convection aspect. Just keep an eye on things as they may finish a tad bit earlier than expected…or not! Hey, that’s what the old toothpick is for, right? Roasting? — check. We’ve tried both a 4 lb. chicken fryer and a pork loin/roast (on the Whole Roast setting) using the temp probe. Perfect! The oven itself is a perfect fit for those who are replacing an old toaster oven. To be safe, make sure you have enough space for 19“ wide by 13.5” high by 16.5” deep, remembering to take into account opening the door. As you may have gathered, the Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven is a keeper for us. Join the club!

    Super Countertop Double Oven

I own quite a few different Ninja kitchen appliances and my overall experience with their products has been fantastic, and this 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven is no exception! It heats up super fast (and sounds like a jet engine when getting to temp) and cooks everything I throw at it to perfection. I love that I can cook two different things at the same time. You can cook a casserole in the bottom and bake some cookies in the top if your heart desires! I also like that the oven remembers the settings that I last used for each oven, so when I'm air frying multiple batches of wings for the family, I can just press start and keep the process going. I've had a Delonghi toaster oven and it always starts the cook timer at one hour and it's super frustrating because my kids make a lot of toast, so I was super excited that the Ninja is super easy with the settings, you just select the number of toast you re making and then set your desired cooking strength and it's good to go! The top does get quite hot so I ended up getting a cutting board to place up there for storage. I love the heavy duty pans that come with the Double Oven, but I would have liked one pizza pan be included in the package as well. Overall I am extremely pleased with the Ninja Double Oven, and I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

I’ve always loved Ninja products and this update to their toaster oven is no exception. It takes everything I loved about the previous generation and bumps it to the next level. This oven is really a complete replacement for cooking in your kitchen, giving you so much versatility you’ll be able to cook anything. The major upgrade that I love is the double oven, it lets me cook two different things at once while using different cooking techniques. This makes meal prep so much easier and takes half the time. Another huge upgrade is the meat probe. Being able to cook based on temp is a huge upgrade and takes all the guess work out of having undercooked meat. Apart from this it does all the functions to perfection, any still of cooking you can think of this oven has it covered. We use it for almost every meal. Overall this is an excellent oven if you have the room for a larger small appliance in your kitchen. That’s really the only downside is that it’s so big, but that’s what you get for a whole oven replacement!

    Ninja's outstanding do-it-all oven

The Ninja 12-in-1 Double Oven is one of the best kitchen appliances I've ever used, and I've not even fully used all of its myriad functions. But what I have used so far has left me very impressed: for many people, they may well find that this replaces a variety of other appliances and greatly reduces the need for their kitchen oven. I'd thought that with dual ovens the device would be too unwieldly to easily find a home on my counter, or if it did, it would disappoint on capacity. To my surprise, neither case was true. The oven is very space efficient--it's actually smaller than the convection oven it replaced--but has significantly more capacity and features. To the extent that there is a diminishment in the cooking space, it's in vertical height. However, it makes up for that by being rather deep, which is necessary for it to be able to fit larger pizzas (12" fit easily on the racks, or even on the trays, if you want to avoid messes). Setup is easy and so its usage--it's fairly intuitive what everything does just by looking at it. There is, however, plenty of documentation. The only thing you really need to get the hang of is the proper placement of the racks or trays depending on the what you are making. (There's a nice graphic that charts all the of the combinations in the manual/recipe book.) The LCD display makes it easy to keep track of both ovens' progress. The dual oven feature I didn't think I'd particularly like--until I tried simultaneously baking cookies and a pizza, and then I was sold. The top oven has the ability to open separately from the main oven, which is a handy feature when the top and bottom ovens are doing different things. While the manual warns that running both ovens will require a bit of extra cooking time, it didn't add enough to change the fact that it's big booster in efficiency. I'd say that's an effect of the limit in power it can draw from a US socket, but I did find that the oven preheated very quickly, which was a big plus. As said before, I baked pizzas and cookies at the same time. Most convection ovens like this don't do well with cookies (especially baking evenly), so I am reluctant to use them for that purpose, but using the upper oven, cookies came out perfectly done after rotating the tray halfway through the process. Meanwhile, I baked two pizzas in the bottom oven that came out wonderfully. I made chicken parmesan using a combination of the air fryer and convection bake settings. I was very pleasantly surprised by how easy the trays were to clean after melted cheese had dripped all over them. I'd expected to have to do a lot of scrubbing, but the cheese fell off easily. Perhaps there is some element of nonstick coating? Not sure, but since those parts are specifically not dishwasher safe it was a relief to find them so easy to clean. (The air fry basket and racks can go through the dishwasher, though the manual recommends against it to preserve their finish and longevity.) I also simultaneously broiled sausages and air fried french fries. The sausages were cooked well, but the air fryer really impressed me. The basket is a little awkward when pulling out since there's not a great way to set it down without it directly touching the surface underneath (some little metal feet for an offset would be a nice addition in future). I was blown away at how well it did french fries. Normally I air fry with just a little olive oil sprayed on, but as it recommended against olive oil for the temperatures involved, I skipped it this time. It wasn't necessary at all--the fries turned out amazingly crispy. I tried this again using hash brown patties with no oil and got the same result. Given how good it turned out and the high capacity of the basket, the big hulking air fryer on my counter is probably going into storage. And toast: yes, it toasts and it does so rather fast. There's a lot it can do I that I haven't explored fully--the included meat thermometer, for example, which I'll try on a weekend when I may do something slower like a roast. But its basic functions--bake, convection, air fray, broil, toast, and combinations thereof, it performs brilliantly. There's very little I have found to criticize and a lot to like, and I think Ninja has hit a home run with this oven. It's already the centerpiece of my kitchen along with my stove, and I think many people would find that this can take the place of a lot of other small appliances.

Great, but hefty, multipurpose countertop oven

This oven/air fryer from Ninja is a perfect companion to a traditional oven, as long as you can get past the overall size of it. If you’re looking for a great working, accurate oven and air fryer to act as your all-in-one device for toasting, baking meals, and frying, there’s not much better than the 12-1 Ninja from my experience. It’s efficient, spacious, and versatile, there’s not much to dislike about it. Upon arrival, the box is big. One thing you really should do is double check you have the space to put this oven on your counter, or wherever. It’s large, and heavy. Setting up was easy, and took about 10 minutes to get all the plastic and packing materials unboxed. Inside you’ll find a couple of baking pans, a wire basket for air frying, two wire sheets, the thermometer, and guides. The build quality feels great across the board; nothing is loose and most everything seems sturdy and that it should last. The 12 different modes include: Bake, broil, reheat, keep warm, bagel, and toast in the Top Rapid Oven. Air fry, convection bake, pizza, air roast, whole roast, and dehydrate in the Bottom Convection & Air Fry Oven. I wouldn’t consider this a true 12-1 device, as some of the marketing for each mode is the same. That said, they all work as advertised, and the controls are intuitive and easy to use. Everything cooked extremely fast, extremely consistently, and didn’t need any additional cooking time to complete the process. That said, the coolest feature is the Smart thermometer. It can be inserted into the food, and it will send real-time temperature updates to the oven's control panel. This allows you to monitor the temperature of your food without having to open the oven door, which helps to ensure that your food is cooked to perfection. Another good safety feature I prefer is the display will show “Hot” after cooking and during cool down. This ensures you and other members of your family know it’s still hot. The only feature I don’t like is that the oven continues to cook when you open either door. I don’t mind it, but got used to my other oven cutting the power when I opened it. I also wish there were two crumb trays for both the top and bottom, especially since the top is the only one that can air fryer. All that said, if you can get over the bulk and heft of the oven, I’d be shocked if there is any better multipurpose oven on the market right now. Overall, I’d easily recommend this to anyone looking to up their cooking game.

This compact multifunction oven does it all! The upper oven toasts bread and bagels quickly as well as broils foods quickly! The lower has one of the best air fryer features I have ever used as well as baking of most any item that fits in it! I love the lighted ovens and that it displays “HOT” until the oven cools.

Perfect countertop oven. Smart finish is a wonderful feature. The convection oven cooks food in less time and the air fryer basket let’s you cook more food. The top oven let’s you toast or back or broil without heating the whole oven.

It took me a while to find the right oven. And I wasn't disappointed with this one. I looked at Breville, Ninja Foodie's, and another KitchenAid oven. The Ninja Smart Double Oven won my heart. Yeah, it's a little noisy with the air fry setting but it honestly doesn't bother me. Gets a little warm on top of the oven, but it's not bad. To those on the fence about getting this oven, do it.
