We tried fries and they were restaurant quality, and with almost no oil to it. Tried chicken nugget, came out crisp and tasty, better than fried to me. She even tested buffalo wings and they tasted nice and crispy (on roast), though it is not exactly suitable for that as it burns the sauce and the core was still cold but I think if we would have defrost it, it would have done the trick. Very easy to clean and that little oil you put it drains below the rack, so that two spoon you added, you are eating all of it. It takes very little time to preheat though it does make some noise doing so. Very fast cooking. We didn't try defrost but it has a setting for that. if you are a fan of fried food; it is definitely worth a shot. Pretty good on handling, 4 Qt is decent size for family of 3-5. Color me impressed.
