This gadget is an all-in-one replacement for my "retired" toaster oven and kitchen stove/oven, and it proved its worth in no time. A word of caution: The settings can be kind of tricky and newbies need to pay more attention to their own selections of cooking times and temperature choices than the manufacturer-recommended ones. This amounts to trial-and-error but failure to so can end up with over-cooked meals until one gets used to it. Many available third-party and Ninjakitchen.com accessories and recipes make this worth having.

I purchased the Ninja air fryer based on several good reviews and because its non-stick coating is ceramic-based. I have yet to actually cook in it, but it's done a great job reheating things like fried chicken from the market. The basket and crisping rack are easy to wash. It's also easy to reach inside the machine to wipe down the side walls and the heating coils. I'm glad I have cabinet space for the unit because it has a fairly large footprint. Also glad I have an island countertop, as it vents through the back and pulls air in through the top so running it against a wall or under a cabinet wouldn't be ideal. I don't find it to be too noisy. The pamphlets that come with the air fryer aren't especially good, so it was helpful to have seen reviewers use the machine online. I have purchased a cookbook and hope to find more useful information there. I would recommend this machine as long as the purchaser has some room in the kitchen.
